Is the Korg EMX-1 easy or hard to program? I have been contemplating getting one, but no music store near me has one to try :'(

I think it's pretty easy just to create beats, but can get a bit more complicated if you want to create complex song arrangements. But I never spent much time with my EMX-1 and ended up selling it shortly after I bought it. It's the perfect drumbox for dance/trance/house/techno music.

i dont like you're style of playing along with those korg beats. they just dont match, thats not to say I dont like your style of playing, i just think you'd do better playing in a jazz band, or in a classical orchestra. the moog just overpowers the korg

I've never played with one in real life but i've seen plenty of demos. i literally don't think they sound very good is all! I'm more than prepared to accept that I don't know a good sound when I hear it, but they just sound mundane and cheap. Get this - I prefer the electribe!

My next purchase might be the Korg Oasys but i think i might have to sell some of my gear to help pay for it... or my soul.

keybdwiz, honestly though, you do some good stuff. Why don't you make some customs on the EMX though? Your playing along to all presets. The EMX is a seriously powerful little beast once you dig in there. It seems shallow on the surface, but can go quite deep.
