When templars first won Jerusalem - they slaughtered 30,000 (est.) Christians, Muslims, Jews. Point is, those cultures were able to live in harmony. Under the laws of Richard, under crusader control, etc., whether Templar, Hospitaler, it mattered little, Byzantine Christians, Muslims, Jews, were put to the sword. Now, don't get me wrong, there is evil on both sides - that is the nature of war. Just humbly pointing out that my Anglo ancestors were guilty of warcrimes as well.

Knights Templar were really cool, and fanatical fighters. They would be hard pressed to equal the performance of the Knights of St John at Malta though.

Templars and Johanitters were like the elite forces of the crusades. They did nothing but pray and pratice their warfare skills. The Knights of St John had headquarter in Acre until it fell in like 1290 (end of the Crusades), then at Rhodos, until moving their headquarter to Malta in like 1500

AWESOME video! One of the best scenes in movie history! Film was good, although, as usual, too forgiving of Saladin's character.

Just love that scene at 1:16, a single cross and every muslim sstops with a look of dread on their face.
And of course the helmet at 0:36.
Not to mention that this was a decent portrayel of medieval combat, ride in, break their ranks and butcher them without unessecary sword play.
