It's just that they are very different, Half-Life soundtrack has more dark and scary feel in it, while Halo soundtracks are like from epic scifi-action movie and there are some quite beautiful songs as well. Marty O'Donnel really is one of the best composers out there. Anyway both are my favorite FPS series ever, and one reason is the music. And even if you hate Halo itself, you dont have to hate the music =)
