Yes but being successful can entail selling out in a lot of cases, as you are changing the way your music sounds to make it appeal to a wider portion of the public and playing upon which music scenes are more popular at that point in time to make the most profit. this was my second listen to ANTHRAX so dont know much about the band but thought they sound quite unique, me likey.

They haven't become more successful at all. None of their albums since Sound of White Noise have gone gold. They probably made new fans though. They also probably lost a bunch of fans when Bush came too. Anthrax couldn't win really.

They never properly sold out, they just moved with the times I guess.

To bad these "nothing" albums placed Anthrax as one of the big four in thrash and if it wasn't for this "nothing" John Bush would've been long forgotten in Armoured Saint.
