Its very simple, mussolini wanted a second r9oman empire, so he was the first modern user of the Roman salute, hitler was facinated by Benny, and he took over some stuff of him, uncluding his salute.

the best way to win is to own about 55 settlements so rebels don't get you below 50 then take rome. If you take rome first all your allies turn against you and you get slaughtered. Literally the whole world was against me when i took rome first.

I havent play rtw since i had to reinstall it and lost all my factions but i do remember i ALMOST played it out on the julii(had like 48 provinces,and stupid rebels kept taking my fucking citys so i couldnt play out)

Lol i had almost finished the game as brutii, and had conquered all of greece southern italy, all of turkey, and was advancing towards israel, but my computer got a virus and its hardrive crashed. So now im with a new computer playing medieval II total war, i have most of germany except west of the rhine and north italy as well as dalmatia and poland, but those italians are a paint in the arse!

like the roman symbols pictures..if that what your talking about i really don't know i just edited them in photoshop and made them jpeg and then using windows moviemaker I imported them in..i really don't know why it would go blank.though for me windows movie maker is really slow sometimes like when your trying to upload something or adding something to the video..it could possible it trying to load it and it just really slow.
