Good quality vid, Great garden but very frustrating as i can`t hear a single word you are saying. I`m currently building an exotic garden for myself here in the uk and would love to know the names of all the palms and ferns etc you have in there but your muttering- can`t make out a single word! Sorry.
superb. im doing soething like this in my garden in the west midlands. i understand your passion entirely. incidentally,a good plant you might like to grow is canna tuerckheimeii. grows to 15ft tall with large banana like leaves and red flowers, awesome
Thats one of the best collection of tropical plants I have seen in a private garden in UK other then the greenhouse in Kew which I regularly visit, am very impressed! keep it up!!
lovely garden you've got yourself!!! it must be pretty big with so many plants and different plant areas. What year did you begin building your tropical garden? what do your neighbours think? I'd love to see a view of the garden from a higher aspect.
Butia capitata, Brahea armata,Brahea edulis, Jubaea chilensis, Trithrinax campestris and many more too numerous to mention........thanks for the interest do you grow palms too?
I am from north Portugal, and I grow syagrus romanzoffiana, washingtoniana filifera, sabal palmetto, trachicarpus fortunei and archontophoenix alexandrae. I am interested in butia capitata and brahea armata, not small. My palms are all big, the bigger has 10 mts (syagrus). Rafael
Great Job!!!!, woohoo for you...!!! :-) doesn't the UK get frosts? Im trying to find a location in the usa that doesn't get frosts to do the same thing as you did, and Im not a florida type person as it gets to hot there for me, I may try texas somewhere, but great job!, my living room use to look like that, lol.... actually, my entire house eventually became a nursey... :-) But yours is out of site!, wooohoo again for you!!!
there is only one city in the USA that has never had a frost at one time or another in history and that is Key West Florida. but you can enjoy plenty of palns and tropicals even in places just like in the video Im sure they great frost there maybe rare but still do in the UK. I been growing palms here in KY for years we get pleny of frost and rarely single digits or below 0 but of course they are the cold hardy variety.
i dont know anything about plants, but where i come from in florida, most of these plants grow like weeds. it must take alot of skill to keep them alive in england! : )
Same hear I'm from Miami where the climate is tropical/subtropical plants from the caribean, South America, Tropical Asia, aArica, and Tropical Indo Australia grow hear with no problem! lol
Beautiful garden Kev. You have created an awesome jungle look, my style all the way. You palms and other exotic plants are all so healthy looking. Lush and thriving! Nice job man. Cheers, Joe

Thanks for the replies guys and yes Canna tuerckheimii is at my place though I think 15 ft is pushing it mine made around 10 feet last year.
For me Canna iridiflora (x ehemanii) is the best with drooping pink flowers.
