You just go to the south part of Bt (outside ofc) and it's easy as hell for an affl. lock....Pulling about 5 blood elves at Manaforges, is just crap.

full affliction is the best spec for PvE locks before they cap hit.. even if they're shdw bolts are hitting for roughly 3k.. if one resists their dps is down the drain..
There are two sources of health that you see in the video.
1. Siphon Life (~215 a tick i think in the video)
2. Frozen Shadow-weave set bonus. (all the small <10 numbers flying around)
The way this bonus works is as follows - When I do SHADOW damage to the target, 2% of that damage done is given to me in the form of health. I hope that helps clarify things a little bit :)
youre stupid i have it and it heals for 6-10 damage per tick of your dot which really doesnt add up. fyi its siphon life that does all the work. with an occasional drain life

Yes, it's full frozen shadoweave set. 2% may not seem like a lot to some people, but an affliction specced lock gets healed throughout the whole fight for the times they hit harder than siphon gives back. Very useful when farming.

Farming as shown in my video is garbage nowadays (no one buys signets or tomes anymore).
The money is all in primals nowadays from a farming standpoint. I farm the eels in the lake NW of shatt. All i do is SL and Corr, and have never had to stop once to eat or drink in hours of farming. Doing this i can pull 5 to 8primal waters in an hour. So just from the primal waters alone you are already over 100g per hour. Including all other drops nets 100 to 200g per hour.
*cough* waste of mana *cough* you nub, with just DoTing and syphon life you don't need to waste mana and you heal up so you don't need to life tap after 5-6 seeds of corruption and do a non stop farming with no rest *COUGH* e-bay nub *COUGH*

what I do is cast my longest lasting spells first then go down to the shortest, if you just wanna sit there laying down dots by the time you got them all down you just then reset dots... and inbetween i wand if i got time

i love it, everything in a circle with expandable curse bar, spell bar and demon bar, lots of short cuts, keeps my actionbar clean and i don't need to move the mouse around much, also has a timer to check when ur DoTs need to be recasted. the interface which you hare looks messy
yeah my ui has changed a bit since then. I dont really use dottimer anymore since i no longer raid. I use cenemycast (or whatever it is :P) since i mainly pvp now. The biggest thing i need to clean up is my action bars :)

Btw i just farmed 115 Sunfury Signets and 7 Arcane tomes after killing about 400 of these guys:P First 5 tomes i found on first kills then they stopped dropping :/.

whats the problem in farming with a warlock? you have 5436k curse in 3 seconds, infinite dmg shadow bolt or soulfire, or you can fear, lets you imp do the job with his 673k firebolt

Im also a 70 lock - full affliction with every dot-dmg improving talent, and currently with 610~ spell dmg, and my siphon life is only healing me for 160~.
Has siphon life been nerfed since you have made this movie? Or does my amount of spelldmg differ that much with yours here?
And lastly, do you have 3/3 demonic aegis which improves the extra healing fel armor gives, or is that also still and the normal 20%?
I did not have demonic aegis when i made this movie. As for the siphon life ticks, they are likely a combo of using a +150 spell dmg (on use) trinket and having around 800 shadow dmg or so when i made this video. Currently if i throw on my raiding gear and run this i think i would see more dmg (have around 1030 shadow dmg now)
the gear i had back then wasnt actually all that good...mainly blues. Only set that was pretty good was the frozen shadow-weave stuff. This is easily doable with around 800 dmg, which is not very hard to obtain.
Every time I watch this video I get the urge to go grab my lock and farm the hell out of netherstorm. It is great fun watching 2 mages do their group mass aoe nuking and then stopping every time to regen while I breeze past and take about just as many over a slightly longer period, but solo.
This video is the perfect example of affliction grinding at its best.
bad. 1. you click. 2. you don't juggle fears and aoe fears and deathcoil u just stand there and take it. 3. you only have 2 or 3 mobs at a time, too slow.
Nope. Wait until level 40, get Dark Pact. Use your imp then.. until then, don't even dream of soloing with your imp. His DPS is terrible, his health is horrible. Just use your VW.
Send in the voidwalker, cast your three dots, fear if off, then repeat on the next one. The first mob should be dead, or almost dead when fear breaks. If it comes back at ya, Drain Life until dead.
Dude, your DPS for grinding is amazing. I was talking about the imp's dps, vs the dps his mana will give you ;). An imp's dpm is about as bad as it gets..
yeah, i actually use my felhunter now....so he can add melee dmg to my target, preventing them from evading and i also have it there if i need it for pvp. His mana regen sucks, but overall utility is far than the imps for what i am doing. You should see me farm fire elementals...pull 6 to 10 at a time.
you mean for the fire elementals? Sure, i can do that....it wont be much different than this one in terms of format etc (i am not very adept when i comes to video editing so kept it simple and didnt even add sound :P).

thats from when i used to sell sunfury signets and tomes. Those have dropped a lot in price since i made this video. I now farm primal fires/ waters :)

what I do is cast my longest lasting spells first then go down to the shortest, if you just wanna sit there laying down dots by the time you got them all down you just then reset dots... and inbetween i wand if i got time

I am not sure what u mean...do u mean how do i get all my spells off so rapidly? I am a clicker rofl (yes i know lots of people hate this but it works fine for me and we hit 2150 rating last season :P)

i love it, everything in a circle with expandable curse bar, spell bar and demon bar, lots of short cuts, keeps my actionbar clean and i don't need to move the mouse around much, also has a timer to check when ur DoTs need to be recasted. the interface which you hare looks messy

yeah my ui has changed a bit since then. I dont really use dottimer anymore since i no longer raid. I use cenemycast (or whatever it is :P) since i mainly pvp now. The biggest thing i need to clean up is my action bars :)

my action bars : Trinity Bars
They come with a lot of functionality (keybinding, cooldown count, right click selfcasting etc).
Right now i use those in combo with Natur EnemyCastbar, and warlock alert (for NF procs)

yeah i mainly pvp now, i was suprised how much i could kite around, i was pve for like over a year and had no idea how to pvp, some pple dueled me and taught me about using LoS and kiting. got my first merciless gladiator piece =P (if you're on EU servers im ganking you for being a gnome)

Yeah i have being doing ok in pvp as well...around 2k for my 3v3 now.
12550 hp, 454 resil and 1120 dmg so bring it on, although im not on an EU server :(

Btw i just farmed 115 Sunfury Signets and 7 Arcane tomes after killing about 400 of these guys:P First 5 tomes i found on first kills then they stopped dropping :/.
I hope you will make a elementals farming video too.

whats the problem in farming with a warlock? you have 5436k curse in 3 seconds, infinite dmg shadow bolt or soulfire, or you can fear, lets you imp do the job with his 673k firebolt

I'm currently levelling up a warlock myself, 43 atm, my gear is pointed towards +shadow dmg (aff. aswell) and this is actually possible already at low levels. (The pulling 10 mobs in a row) Imbah!

Hey there, I see your spihon life is healing you for ~200-220/tic..
Im also a 70 lock - full affliction with every dot-dmg improving talent, and currently with 610~ spell dmg, and my siphon life is only healing me for 160~.
Has siphon life been nerfed since you have made this movie? Or does my amount of spelldmg differ that much with yours here?
And lastly, do you have 3/3 demonic aegis which improves the extra healing fel armor gives, or is that also still and the normal 20%?

I did not have demonic aegis when i made this movie. As for the siphon life ticks, they are likely a combo of using a +150 spell dmg (on use) trinket and having around 800 shadow dmg or so when i made this video. Currently if i throw on my raiding gear and run this i think i would see more dmg (have around 1030 shadow dmg now)

those are from the frozen shadoweave set bonus (shadow dmg done heals you for a small amount).

the gear i had back then wasnt actually all that good...mainly blues. Only set that was pretty good was the frozen shadow-weave stuff. This is easily doable with around 800 dmg, which is not very hard to obtain.

Every time I watch this video I get the urge to go grab my lock and farm the hell out of netherstorm. It is great fun watching 2 mages do their group mass aoe nuking and then stopping every time to regen while I breeze past and take about just as many over a slightly longer period, but solo.
This video is the perfect example of affliction grinding at its best.

It really depends on how things sell on ah...used to make anywhere from 150 to a little over 200g per hour (drops that i vendor and stuff i ah).
The combat text is just from blizz's ui

Nope. Wait until level 40, get Dark Pact. Use your imp then.. until then, don't even dream of soloing with your imp. His DPS is terrible, his health is horrible. Just use your VW.
Send in the voidwalker, cast your three dots, fear if off, then repeat on the next one. The first mob should be dead, or almost dead when fear breaks. If it comes back at ya, Drain Life until dead.

Dude, your DPS for grinding is amazing. I was talking about the imp's dps, vs the dps his mana will give you ;). An imp's dpm is about as bad as it gets..

yeah, i actually use my felhunter now....so he can add melee dmg to my target, preventing them from evading and i also have it there if i need it for pvp. His mana regen sucks, but overall utility is far than the imps for what i am doing. You should see me farm fire elementals...pull 6 to 10 at a time.

i get more out of using my imp due to its mana regen (dark pact) and also the stam increase.
I dont need a "tank", although i would just pull ag off of him anyways.
