if you notice the pattern of fire is actually pretty precisely adjusted - first the shot is way too far to the right of the troops - then its much close to the base, but still too far - but the third one falls inside the walls - not bad for an un-trained, third world army using old equipment

not wrong bout the armour & tracks but there are upsides to weeled vehicles like the sas & nzsas do in afganistan, light fast and heavyly armed - put a 84 and heavy machine guns on it and dont drop below 85kmph - if u hit a mine make sure youve got a striped down pinzguaer or a landrover cuz youll just fly right out instead of caught inside an amoured bullet magnet. I shot this video, and they were not mortar's they were rockets that were on timers launching "towards" us. Rockets are direct fire, and mortars are indirect, They way the rockets are launched is from a trigger timer from a cell phone or a oven timer, then the rocket is proped up against a rock directed towards the base. At the end of the video we were firing 81mm mortars on the mountain side.

Not quite. The TRAJECTORY determines if something is direct or indirect (arcing). Rockets can be indirectly fired with an arc as well as line-of-sight direct fired.

I partly agree with you. Obviously it would help if the military leadership would finally draw the proper consequences, and offer better armored vehicles to the occupying forces. Still where I disagree, is that I wouldn't see these changes anything more, than what improve the tactical conditions temporarly. Eventually the enemy will adjust to the new conditions, and the combatants -again- will reach an equilibrium on a higher level.
