Im natural ash blonde and I dyed my hair a dark brown and now its costing a lot of money to try and get it back to blonde, I had a full head of foils that are like platinum clean blonde (some are a bit warm because of the brown dye i had on my hair) and so I put a dark blonde rinse on it to tone it and make it blend in. I have no idea how you can just dye your hair light and have it come out nice and ash like that! Im natural blonde and mine goes orange.

Lol u got like the golden blonds that has more warm tones to it like yellow, and then u got the more cold ones (ash) which are less golden and warm, and are more beige...!

Everyone is different. 40 volume developer is fine if your hair is healthy and/or not sensitive to the bleaching process and if you keep your hair pretty short. I've used 40 a couple times in past and my hair was fine. That being said, I would still recommend 30 volume developer over 40 any day.

I went for my second round of bleaching my hair today to get it to the ash blonde but it didn't go light enough to the color so i have to go again .... I'm asian with dark brown hair.... hey, im thinking of bleaching my hair, my only worry is that it will damage the texture of the hair. @PEACExL0VExJ0NAS Yes, but it's not a good idea bc it'll ruin the extensions and make them dry and make some hair fall out. I recomend getting blonde extensions and dying them darker if u want.

@pinkchickkiller Good decision on going to a professional! Dont expect to be a nice light blonde you're first visit. If the stylist is smart they will tell you that it'll take 2 or 3 appts to achieve the desired blonde you want. Between appts you should baby you're hair i.e. deep moisture shampoos and conditioner or even use extra virgin olive oil. I did have blk hair n I went to a caramel blonde. I use Joico moisture therapy and the olive oil once a weekand my hair feels great and SEMI shiny

I used a 30 vol developer, and i have used ash blonde dye, and toner forever and my hair hasn't gone green - yet! idk if it depends on how many times you have already bleached or dyed your hair in order to make it turn green, but i havent experienced green hair yet. i would recommend wellas color charm toner in ivory lady or revlons hair dye in light ash blonde - to medium ash blonde (depending on how light or dark blonde you want to go) good luck! :)

@sher254 I bleached my hair twice with 30 developer and powder bleach. my hair was a dark yellow color, and then i toned it with Wella's color charm in Ivory lady - which toned it into an ash blonde color.
sometimes if your hair is hard to dye - or virgin hair you may have to bleach your hair a few times before the bleach is able to lift the dark colors!

toners are used to cancel out brassiness. you can use it on either wet or dry hair; however i would recommend you using it on dry hair. it has a better effect that way. Toners are less damaging unlike permanent color so you can use it repeatedly when your hair starts to turn brassy again. hope this helps, stay beautiful :)
you really can pull off the blonde hair! Use toner bc it doesn't damage your hair compared to permanent color. Wait at least a week or 2 before you actually use the permanent color. I know how aggravating it is to lighten dark hair! :)

ive died my hair black for 3 years from box die and now i want to die back to my natural blonde which is like an ash blonde. what should i do? im gonna get it professionally done but ive heard it will melt my hair??

@pinkchickkiller Good decision on going to a professional! Dont expect to be a nice light blonde you're first visit. If the stylist is smart they will tell you that it'll take 2 or 3 appts to achieve the desired blonde you want. Between appts you should baby you're hair i.e. deep moisture shampoos and conditioner or even use extra virgin olive oil. I did have blk hair n I went to a caramel blonde. I use Joico moisture therapy and the olive oil once a weekand my hair feels great and SEMI shiny

I love your hair!! Is it highlighted? I wish I knew how you've done it! Can you tell me did you bleach over all your hair and then section it up to put the 2 different dyes on? I have a Question! But first of all i think your gorgeous! I have virgin dark ashy brown hair. Should i die it twice? how long did you wait till you bleached it the second time and how long did you wait to dye it? And also, when i dye the roots should i dye them medium ash blonde and the middle again with light ash blonde or just dye the roots medium ash blonde! Thnx!

I used a 30 vol developer, and i have used ash blonde dye, and toner forever and my hair hasn't gone green - yet! idk if it depends on how many times you have already bleached or dyed your hair in order to make it turn green, but i havent experienced green hair yet. i would recommend wellas color charm toner in ivory lady or revlons hair dye in light ash blonde - to medium ash blonde (depending on how light or dark blonde you want to go) good luck! :)

Hi, you said you used ash blondes, but the woman at the beauty supply store told me that if I use ashes on bleached hair it would go green, so I should use a pure blonde... Please let me know which colours you recommend, and if your hair was ok (didn't go green). To me it looks gorgeous.

My hair is black but i dyed it this color tht made it light brown woth lil bit of red-ish but then i dyed it another type of brown and it turned out black. lol anyway my aunt is going to dye my hair ''dark blonde''' next week ...wud it turn out more blondish or redish ..?

@tdilovegwen i went to the hair dressers & they said to get almost white blonde you should buy ultra light ash blonde color, because it takes the red, yellow & golden tones out of it.

@soccerbabygirl it depends on what you are using to dye your hair. but most likely - if you're not bleaching it - your hair will turn orange/red.

hi, i love your hair color. if you don't mind i want to ask a few questions about your hair. how many times did you bleach it and what color was your hair after bleach before you tone it? my hair is very dark and i bleached it twice and my hair was light orange the second time, i didn't even think about toning i just got freaked out and dyed it an ash brown.

@sher254 I bleached my hair twice with 30 developer and powder bleach. my hair was a dark yellow color, and then i toned it with Wella's color charm in Ivory lady - which toned it into an ash blonde color.
sometimes if your hair is hard to dye - or virgin hair you may have to bleach your hair a few times before the bleach is able to lift the dark colors!

toners are used to cancel out brassiness. you can use it on either wet or dry hair; however i would recommend you using it on dry hair. it has a better effect that way. Toners are less damaging unlike permanent color so you can use it repeatedly when your hair starts to turn brassy again. hope this helps, stay beautiful :)

you really can pull off the blonde hair! Use toner bc it doesn't damage your hair compared to permanent color. Wait at least a week or 2 before you actually use the permanent color. I know how aggravating it is to lighten dark hair! :)
