If I was the Germans I would of just had 100's of MG42's set up along the whole stretch in front of the Russian onslaught! a much better fire power of 1500 bullets per Minute each gun.. and equip every German Soldier with the Stg 44 as well! then im pretty sure Russia would for sure been Acient History! Russia is a Big Land and there's lots of Russians and they are Crazy!

There were no TIgers in the US area, the Second SS was not in the US area, P51's couldn't blow up tanks, the bunkers on the beach were not that big but hidden, the characters talk nothing like real soldiers in combat. @thekazzak100 Germans took a many captured weapons in Europe. French, Belgian, British and other countries (weapons of 140 divisions european divisions ) They also used the Soviet PPSh. SVT rifle. cannon ZIS-3 and T-34 tank.

This is obviously a great war movie, but it is completely historical unncorrect to suggest that the German infantry attacked in open lines like we see here. All Western European armys abandoned this costly tactic in 1918. In stead the Germans attacked in squad size with speed and handgrenades, supported by artillery, panzer and sometimes airpower.

@Stordongen historical fact - only on July 12 in the region Mogilev Germans lost 39 tanks. been frontal attacks and the fortified areas. Can not ever beat on the flanks - and even on the flanks, as is strengthen. The front line is a solid strengthen - and not the bare steppe

@Stordongen War in Western Europe is not a war in the Soviet Union. In Western Europe - been minor clashes and the fights. Compared with the war in the east - it was like a resort. Both the German sources confirm this. For example, German paratrupers claimed: ten times better jump with a parachute on island Crete - than at least only one day to spend on Nevsky pladsdarme.

While the truth is far from that, also an insult of the German, not nazi, soldier of the time in this video.
