No it isn't best for the Kalash to speak on their own behalf because they do not have proper historical documentation to back up their claim. They are a small tribe who live a simplistic life and do not have modern anthropological, linguistic, and historical training to back up their story.

Would be best if a Kalash would speak for his own people on this subject. But as I know the Kalash people were claiming being descendents of Alexander and the Greeks much before anyone from the country of Greece got in touch wiith them some years ago.

I am fascinated by the Kalash people, but it irks me when some claim that they are the remnants of ancient Greek settlers. They do not speak the Greek language, and have no cultural link to the ancient Greek people. The Kalash claim descent of Alexander's army because Greece sends financial aid and skilled workers to their poor lands.

It is more prosaic. They are largely unmixed descendants of East European Aryans.

yeah i ve been there, greek government has done some brilliant work but the real heroes are the volunteers travelling from greece to pakistan. beware of the muslims there, they dont like us!

I have three women in my family who are kalash, fact is that they don't like you fuck holes treating them like museum pieces. Many Kalash have converted to Islam and they will keep doing so.

They are also referred to Nuristani in eastern Afghanistan. Nuristani or Kalash, and I've heard some other names.
