Correct. His son Robert Pordy was in my medical school class. We used to kid him about the corny ads, though in fairness his family had no involvement with the ads.
Is this the original singer and song, from the 50's & 60's? This is the brand of coffee I drink. I switched from Folgers! It is just as good, if not better, so, they aren't exaggerating.
I enjoyed a conversation with Page Morton Black recently, when she called my place of employment, Bramson's Music in Westchester, NY, to reclaim some of her music that had been lost in a house fire. What a sweet , down to earth woman. She must be in her 90's at this point.
I remember seeing this ad into the early 1980s---when Page Morton Black was a bit too old to be playing a fairy princess. She lip-synched to the jingle she recorded in the 1950s. One of my grad school classmates was the son of the head of the company after Mr. Black.
Page Morton Black was married to the owner of Chock Full Of Nuts. My mom told me when I was small I used to cry when I heard her sing this song because I loved Page so much.
A weird commercial for a good brand of coffee

No, I meant what acting career has Page Black had?

I'm not really sure, but no acting that I know of. I just know that she was a "cabaret" singer.
