if you got into an accident in which you died because you werent wearing a seatbelt, most likely there were other people involved (unless you were drunk driving and hit a tree? which is inexcusable anyway). in that case you are not just killing yourself, you are making someone else feel like theyve killed you. and what if the accident was their fault anyway? now youre dead or have a serious injury that could last forever just because you didnt have the seatbelt on? its just stupid..

Cars should be made so the car cannot start without seat belts attached. And put a weight sensor in the chairs so the cars computer knows which seat belts need to be worn.

I think seatbelt law is good. If there isnt seatbelt law it could be dangerous, because some people does not use seatbelts even now, and if someone who does not use seatbelt and crashes... well... it would be ugly :P. If you think "im not going to crash, im not bad driver",but someone could be or could be even drunk or something and then you cant prevent that!! :P
only problem with keeping kingsnakes is everyone wants a wild caught one... so... its just depletion of a natural resources... most herpers have no control over themselves and have far too many snakes..neglecting them all... leave snakes where you fidn them or your just a dirtbag poacher

The law should not be removed. There are always going to be people who will get tickets for doing stupid things but this one seems like its actually trying to help. If people want to die in an accident its not only them who are affected. What about the people in the other car? Plus its illegal to kill yourself....
Seat belt laws are crap....I like my odds of surviving an accident better with than without, but that is MY choice. As far as the colubrids, I think they're awesome snakes, captive ones I've dealt with are very docile and easy to handle. Wild ones bit me a couple times so I learned some more respect for them and not to free handle them. Peace
Well, if you have a car full of people and one person doesn't wear their seatbelt you get something called human collision, so that carless person is not the only one who ends up seriously injured or dead. And the damn thing only takes a few seconds to put on.

I think that the USA is in trouble with invasive species. People want pets and when they tire from them they get pitched. I just don't get some peoples need to make a wild animal captive. It is great to be knowledgeable and share with others when they come across such animals. Most people want to kill snakes because of ignorance.

Love the vids guys, I went out and bought two corns; one albino, the other is a albino morph of some kind, last month and love the temperment of them. A lot easier to handle than the 2-8' albino burmese pythons I acquired a few years ago. These go perfect in my collection of smaller apartment sized critters. 2-snakes, 8-archnids, 9-frogs/toads, 3-lizards, and 8-fish. Now I'm looking for a house, to hold more animals. Looking foward to buying some morphs from you.
There should be an age limit on the seat belt laws. This would enforce stupid parents/ caretakers to protect the small ones that should be SITTING DOWN in the back. Other than little ones, it should be up to the adult to make a choice. Just like helmet laws, airport strip searches, reporting purchases over $10,000 to the IRS and multiple other "minor" things, that don't mean a whole lot by itself. This is just a way for our wonderful government to control and keep track of us on a daily basis.
i think the seat belt law should be at least calmed down on i mean what is the point of paying $100 for not wearing it there also not the safest thing either if u have one twist in it and you get into an accident itll cut you in half

I live in Florida and people on motorcycles don't have to wear a helmet (which I think that they should have the choice if they are adults) BUT the state of Florida is trying to dictate that I got to wear a seat belt in my car? Just a bunch of BS and another revenue producer for the state.
Seatbelts should be worn because even though you are the safest driver in the world (or at least think you are), there are always other drivers who are still learning how to drive or who don't care about you or anyone else around them. A seatbelt will help keep the driver behind the wheel if your vehicle is suddenly hit or your car begins to skid. A seatbelt gives you a chance to survive. It's not the perfect answer to surviving a car crash, but it's a better chance of survival.
What if I don't want to wear a safety belt? Isn't that MY choice not YOUR choice or the GOVERNMENTS choice? We supposely live in a FREE nation, free to make our own choices. You got these jerkoff politicians that are even trying to take away our right to keep reptiles. Are you going to be upset when and if they finally succeed? If they ban reptiles are you going to just hand over your cherished pets and say "Well, I am sure that the government knows what is best for me?"
seatbelts help minimize injuries in crashes. for instance, u have a fully loaded car, u get hit, person without seatbelt flies outta their seat, hits sumone with their body, caused major injury or death. sure if ur in a car by urself it shouldn't be a problem cuz then there's only u that u have to be accountable for, yes some things are just money grabbers but some makes sense. i bet that most ppl that say seatbelts are just another money grabber are druggies, i see that alot with druggies.
Brian and the crew, could you please tell your viewers that it is unacceptable to cut off or remove a snake's teeth. I work for a reptile rescue I often see this done to snakes.Teeth cutting and removal can traumatize the snake and at the very least is painful. I have seen cases where teeth removal has caused infection, feeding problems and even death.

Cutting off a snakes teeth off is animal abuse, it can get you fined and the animal taken away from you. If you love snakes, then handle them carefully and they will not bite. There is no need to mutilate them. How would you like it if someone pulled out or cut all of your teeth?

I'm having such a hard time deciding whether to get a western hognose or a cal king. I wouldn't be able to get any expensive morphs so which would you suggest.

Dude at least you didn't get your ticket in Cali. Youed be getting a $500 dollar fine and if a passenger isn't wearing a seat belt both the driver and passenger get a ticket.

i love hogs. A garter was my first snake when I was four or five. I kinda burned myself out of corn snakes the way I did leopard geckos.
even though you could get some crazy morphs, they just weren't doing it for me.

Actually if you crash and get hurt without medical insurance guess what? you guessed it I have to make it up with higher medical costs. Not to mention the fact that if you leave a wife and kids behind the tax payers get to support your family, so wear your F*%KI&G seatbelt and get over it!!!

Hey brian/snakebytes watchers, i have a question. Im getting my first snake soon (baby carpet python), and when i do, i wanna go out with him and get him some good natrual sun light. If i put him down on a fence and keep watching him, will he probably run away? or should i just hold him in the sun and relaxx :p help me out guys :) is it good to get him some natrual sunlight or not?

Thanks for your reply (regarding seatbelt laws). I understand your point of view and grew up at a time when seatbelts were present, but were not a requirement (and yet many cars had steel dashboards, YIKES!). We are still free to do what we want, it's the consequences of our actions that we are accountable for, and until something bad happens, most of us are reluctant to change our ways. Until you can change the laws of gravity, we are not as free as you may think!

if you got into an accident in which you died because you werent wearing a seatbelt, most likely there were other people involved (unless you were drunk driving and hit a tree? which is inexcusable anyway). in that case you are not just killing yourself, you are making someone else feel like theyve killed you. and what if the accident was their fault anyway? now youre dead or have a serious injury that could last forever just because you didnt have the seatbelt on? its just stupid..

We still have a choice, you're still free not to wear it, with the knowledge that you might get a ticket and you might die. Freedom doesn't mean freedom from consequences. If the threat of death isn't enough to motivate you to put your seat belt on, but the threat of a $65 ticket is, there's something wrong with you. If you don't mind risking your life, why would you care about risking 65 bucks?

Cars should be made so the car cannot start without seat belts attached. And put a weight sensor in the chairs so the cars computer knows which seat belts need to be worn.
The amount of deaths due to human stupidity is unfathomable, so just wear your damn seat belt and use common sense!

If you are an adult, you should be able to choose if you want to, or not. when i turned 18 i jumped out of an airplane, if the government keeps controlling like this. skydiving and dangerous sports will be next. they drew the line way to far this time.

I think seatbelt law is good. If there isnt seatbelt law it could be dangerous, because some people does not use seatbelts even now, and if someone who does not use seatbelt and crashes... well... it would be ugly :P. If you think "im not going to crash, im not bad driver",but someone could be or could be even drunk or something and then you cant prevent that!! :P

only problem with keeping kingsnakes is everyone wants a wild caught one... so... its just depletion of a natural resources... most herpers have no control over themselves and have far too many snakes..neglecting them all... leave snakes where you fidn them or your just a dirtbag poacher

Hey you mentioned that you can get up to two clutches a year from cornsnakes, but does that apply for any other colubrids or snakes in general? Thats really cool and i've never heard that.

with 8 million in federal employment, with fed paid medical benefits, a 100 dollar tab makes more sense than a 10,000 dollar life support tab. easily avoidable with a seat belt. if your frinds drive like mine do down here in Texas, you'd wear the belt. 1st time watcher btw...lovin it, keepup the good work! ohh, and i got some copperheads and watermoccosins on my land,any chance u can come get rid of them? i have horses

The law should not be removed. There are always going to be people who will get tickets for doing stupid things but this one seems like its actually trying to help. If people want to die in an accident its not only them who are affected. What about the people in the other car? Plus its illegal to kill yourself....

Seat belt laws are crap....I like my odds of surviving an accident better with than without, but that is MY choice. As far as the colubrids, I think they're awesome snakes, captive ones I've dealt with are very docile and easy to handle. Wild ones bit me a couple times so I learned some more respect for them and not to free handle them. Peace

Well, if you have a car full of people and one person doesn't wear their seatbelt you get something called human collision, so that carless person is not the only one who ends up seriously injured or dead. And the damn thing only takes a few seconds to put on.

if you dont want to wear a seat belt then you should not have to wear it it wont effect anyone but yourself unless you die then friends and family would be upset. another law i dont like is land tax law my dad bought this place and built the house with his own hands if he dont pay land taxes it can be taken away and my dad left homeless. how can you afford to pay tax on 15 acers of land? after your work place shutting down and you cant find another job your in bad health and no health insurance

I think that the USA is in trouble with invasive species. People want pets and when they tire from them they get pitched. I just don't get some peoples need to make a wild animal captive. It is great to be knowledgeable and share with others when they come across such animals. Most people want to kill snakes because of ignorance.

then ur mom is very lucky. she must of went at a pretty slow speed. it dont take much to flip a car over. but if it was on the highway then im amaze o.O i seen alot of cars accident. 1 of my friend died in 1. she had her seat belt on, it was the cause of her death. the car flip over and it went on fire. the seat belt was jam. so she was stuck in the car. i would help if i was there, but i wasnt there. =/

Love the vids guys, I went out and bought two corns; one albino, the other is a albino morph of some kind, last month and love the temperment of them. A lot easier to handle than the 2-8' albino burmese pythons I acquired a few years ago. These go perfect in my collection of smaller apartment sized critters. 2-snakes, 8-archnids, 9-frogs/toads, 3-lizards, and 8-fish. Now I'm looking for a house, to hold more animals. Looking foward to buying some morphs from you.

There should be an age limit on the seat belt laws. This would enforce stupid parents/ caretakers to protect the small ones that should be SITTING DOWN in the back. Other than little ones, it should be up to the adult to make a choice. Just like helmet laws, airport strip searches, reporting purchases over $10,000 to the IRS and multiple other "minor" things, that don't mean a whole lot by itself. This is just a way for our wonderful government to control and keep track of us on a daily basis.

I think there should be a age limit on seat belts.I'm 24 years old and I don't were mine BUT i'm an adult........and I should legally have that right.
It's completely understandable to have a seat belt law for people under 18 because their children and their reasoning skills aren't quite there yet(if you know what I'm saying).

I live in Florida and people on motorcycles don't have to wear a helmet (which I think that they should have the choice if they are adults) BUT the state of Florida is trying to dictate that I got to wear a seat belt in my car? Just a bunch of BS and another revenue producer for the state.

Seatbelts should be worn because even though you are the safest driver in the world (or at least think you are), there are always other drivers who are still learning how to drive or who don't care about you or anyone else around them. A seatbelt will help keep the driver behind the wheel if your vehicle is suddenly hit or your car begins to skid. A seatbelt gives you a chance to survive. It's not the perfect answer to surviving a car crash, but it's a better chance of survival.

What if I don't want to wear a safety belt? Isn't that MY choice not YOUR choice or the GOVERNMENTS choice? We supposely live in a FREE nation, free to make our own choices. You got these jerkoff politicians that are even trying to take away our right to keep reptiles. Are you going to be upset when and if they finally succeed? If they ban reptiles are you going to just hand over your cherished pets and say "Well, I am sure that the government knows what is best for me?"

seatbelts help minimize injuries in crashes. for instance, u have a fully loaded car, u get hit, person without seatbelt flies outta their seat, hits sumone with their body, caused major injury or death. sure if ur in a car by urself it shouldn't be a problem cuz then there's only u that u have to be accountable for, yes some things are just money grabbers but some makes sense. i bet that most ppl that say seatbelts are just another money grabber are druggies, i see that alot with druggies.

Brian and the crew, could you please tell your viewers that it is unacceptable to cut off or remove a snake's teeth. I work for a reptile rescue I often see this done to snakes.Teeth cutting and removal can traumatize the snake and at the very least is painful. I have seen cases where teeth removal has caused infection, feeding problems and even death.

Cutting off a snakes teeth off is animal abuse, it can get you fined and the animal taken away from you. If you love snakes, then handle them carefully and they will not bite. There is no need to mutilate them. How would you like it if someone pulled out or cut all of your teeth?
