I also notice that you used the simpler ending. In several of my songbooks there is a MUCH more complicated ending in the last phrase. You had the voice for the complicated ending, I'm confused as to why you didn't use it.
You have a beautiful smooth voice. I am just starting to learn this piece. Like the previous commenter, your rendition will be very helpful. I can only hope to do this piece half of the justice that you have! Thank you!
wonderful song and rendition. Helped me so much with studying the piece. Will be singing this in the coming auditions for the college of music here in the philippines!
Thank you very much for your comment! The bigger compliment here is that it helped you in studying it out and I am very happy about that:-)The piece is truly a pleasure to sing. May God bless your work and give you good results at the audition!
Just one notice. It seems to be a common mistake to sing the first phrase after the "pianobrake" in the middle of the song "Ah, mio cor". The right phrase is always "Ah mio core". You can hear this if you listen to the origina opera aria eg in youtube. The false phrase is found at least in one songbook of mine, but when I ordered the original c-minor opera-aria sheet, the phrase is correctly there. So always, if there is a phrase Ah! Mio core in this song, it's always with e (never Ah! mio cor).
The picture in the beginning is Mr Georgos Zervanos. The greatest Tenor in Greece(and one of the best) Europe has ever seen. Was in Pavarotti's range&age,&from what iv heard, he was about to take his place in La Scala when the latter was gonna leave for the States..His Greek name was a stumbling block to the Italians..Pity He left us so soon.We will remember our great teacher with awe and reverence for what he left to us to carry on.
i am a soprano...By the way, Angelica, I heard your Stizzoso mio stizzoso. For your only one year of voice classes you are managing the dynamics pretty well. Congratulations!
Thank you for your comment! It is a real pleasure to sing this piece, even though it talks about a broken-hearted woman betrayed by her beloved.Good luck!Looking forward to hear you sing it:-)
this is good but please pronounce your 't's more :)

I sang this a few years back in competition and won at the state level. This is a nice rendition.
I'm just a lowly Mezzo though :)
