  • Thank you!!!!! My first attempt looks like poo, but I did it! Yay! Can't wait to try this out!

  • Omo! Thank you so much for showing us this! I am sooo going to do this...as soon as my baby is bigger though because he is still really tiny and these diapers swallow him whole.

  • Receiving blankets are great to rip up for cleaning rags.

  • Aha! Thank you for showing the trick around the legs on a real baby! You're a lifesaver! Or actually, a diaper cover saver : )

  • O...M...G... This is easier that prefolds to attach to baby! I have been having a hard time spreading the back on the baby, and with this fold on a flat, it's so much easier!

  • where can i get flats in the US?

  • I have to try that when/if I run out of prefolds. Awesome.

  • Thx for the tip. I was wondering how do I prevent poop leaks:o Cute baby:)

  • I been changing diapers this way for two years now. Heavens how I wish I'd known about the leg gusset idea before today.

  • I LOVE how you folded your own leg gusset. I've been watching videos because I'm going to try cloth diapering my 3 month old. I've been worried about leg-leaks and I think this is a GREAT trick!

    THANKS!

  • Are there any other folds that you know? Im able to make this one work for my 18 month old, but he is working on some fantastic plumbers crack! :D

  • were you meaning is there any other ones I know using the receiving blankets? - no I don't, sorry. and kudos to you for doing this with your 18 month old! my 19 month old is a super soakers extreme and I can no longer cloth diaper cuz he is leaking (more like streaming) out his diapers after an hour. - he consumes a lot of water and milk. lol. maybe try making a fold down flap in the back to help with no plumbers crack? - or try to somehow get it tighter around the top of the waist?

  • That is pretty neat! We're thinking about switching to cloth and I think this will prove to be rather useful! What kind of covers do you use?

  • while my son had messy poo's, I only used Thirsties. they are a little pricey... but well worth it!! they last and hold in ANY mess!!! and since he was around 10-11 months old I have been using the plain old gerber covers... cheap and still work :)

  • it is called a "snappi". super easy to use compared to pins! google "snappi" and you can see many pictures of them :)

  • wow, thank you so much!!! i just realized i need to try and save money as much as possible. We have sposies, but i want to limit them. You explained it so well, i think i will get some use out of these unused receiving blankets after all!! Also, cute baby!!! :)

  • this video was great. thank you.

  • Thank you so much, you explained it the best, I think I will do well enough on my own now. Also, thank you for the tip of the legs! Thank you

    Crystal

  • ****IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU GUYS WOULD LIKE A VIDEO OF PERTAINING TO CLOTH DIAPERING??**** let me know and I will try to help you all out :)

  • He is the cutest little thing :)

I'm struggling to find nappies big enough for my daughter (She's a really chunky 21month old!) so this might come in really handy!

And ignore that person who made the nasty comment. You obviously didn't mean it, and babies are made of rubber :) (Not literally obviously, but they take more bumps than people realise, especially once they're moving!)

Great vid. thanks for the help :)

  • Thank you. I have a newborn and a 22 month old currently in diapers and I thought I was going to go broke trying to buy more cloth diapers for them and washing them everyday! I definitely can now add the blankets to the mix and last a few more days! Thank you, again!

  • you are awesome!!!!! thank you!! thank you!! thank you so much for this great tip!!!

  • Ahh, I wish I would have known this earlier!!

My son is 18 months now, and we had tons, and tons of receiving blankets!!

I'll have to do this for my second baby!!

  • Snappis dont tend to work so well on flannel, so it's usually easier to use pins. There are also other types of fastners, though not as easy to come by.

  • Thank you so much for showing this fold. I'm brand new to CD'ing and you were such a big help! Thanks

  • thanks for sharing I am going to need to watch this like 100 times before I get it down, I can hardly change a disposable

  • he's not hungry you can see what happend at 4 40 and on his arm was twisted...I know a mistake no doubt but ya he was hurt

  • Nice demo!

  • wow. thanks for this. we are new parents and we think this fold is great.

  • Very interesting video. I've never seen one done with receiving blankets. I don't know how absorbent they would be for constant use but I'll definitely remember this for a back-up! Well done!
