Tow Boats Fire on Lower Mississippi River

it was an engine room fire. spread too quickly.

Had a bargeload of burning wood chips taken out of tow @ Memphis.We used the bucket scoops to unload the barge into trucks and dumped water onto any hotspots.Better than having the FD sink the barge with water streams.

Whew! any idea what actually happened?

@TimberWolf212 the engine blew spraying desiel everywhere, the heat inginited the desiel and the rest is history, the boat has been totaly redone and is back in operation
