My schools doing the jr version cause their stupid but I'm auditioning for the cat in the hat and I'm a girl! This is a great example showing a girl can pull of the cat in the hat role!
I was impressed with the vocals; especially since it's a high school performance. The only thing that disappointed me was how dry the movement was (kinda boring to watch at times). Especially during the solos, it seemed like a choral performance. Thanks for posting, I'm auditioning soon and would rather watch it then read a script. (:
@Quackers123456789 The clovers were made of styrofoam balls and pipe cleaners, which were spray painted pink. Some were given stucks for stems and others were not. And yeah, that was just an accident... I didn't mean to grab the real one right away ^_^'
@Ryxachaz2613 i know i ment in the plot and book i made some clovers i made um from pom poms and pipe cleaners many are difrant colors thougth i wish my school could do seussical anf i could play cat
@Ryxachaz2613 i know i ment character if he just ran in he se's it fall but you did a great horton if my school doe's seussical i want to be cat and to mix everyone up on the clover i'd scatter the clovers up tossing i'd make some and put theam in my hat and dump theam and say oops well we need this musical long so the tickets are worth getting
hahhahahahahhahahahhaha i LOVED how hard you jumped when the cat squirted you.. did you know it was coming. the bird girls has very strong harmonizing skills :D
I got cast as Cat in the Hat, and yes, I'm a girl. I have a similar voice to hers, but not as powerful. We are using the same notes she is using for How Lucky You Are and I'm ENTIRELY jealous of how she can belt the last night without cracking. Ugh, It's quite difficult for me to belt it, but I have to. This Cat is quite amazing, and has a voice like no other!! :)
Haha great show! In fact, we just did a musical revue called Cabaret Paradis (I was stage manager) and the director included Notice Me Horton. Its actually sort of entertaining hearing someone else sing it; refreshing, if you will. Anyways, Im glad I finally got to watching Seussical (although I didnt expect it via Youtube), and I hope to see more videos like these in the near future ^_^
This play was, like, 15 different kinds of fun! Just talking about the different ideas for the show was amazing. Actually rehersing and performing it was one of my best high school experiences. I am very glad that my first real theatre experience was with this performance. At first, I only wanted to be Horton (thank god I got it then, right?) but thinking back, I would have LOVED to play the Cat as well.
I agree - the Cats got a super great voice. She can totally cary a show. I love her costume too :) LOVED notice me Horton, all of you guys' line delivery was really really great.
Cat had awesome voice, needed some more movement though. It seemed really static, especially when no one else i onstage and everyones attention is on her. lol, thats just coreography tho. I really liked this.
Your cat is KICK ASS! She's my inspiration (I'm a girl playing the cat) :D
