This was really interesting to me. Dave is my biggest hero! He's had a huge impact on my life. And it's nice to see your heros, people who seem bigger than life, acting just like normal people, eating a salad. It's sad that he has no privacy, but I'm glad I saw it.
Dave said in an interview once that he likes to observe, not be observed. You can't blame a guy for observing, now can ya. I would have at least walked up and gotten some nutrition tips, or some workout tips. I read his book and I'm waiting for part 2 and 3.

I met Dave back in '99 in a hotel lobby with a bar and restaurant in full view of each other. I respectfully asked for an autograph and he said he would be happy to if I could wait for him to grab a bite to eat. I waited at the bar until Dave finished his meal. He approached me, we talked briefly, took a photo, signed a couple of things, and was very cool.
However... I would NEVER videotape or snap a photo of him or any other celebrity eating. Very poor taste!
