In general, Audi are generally reliable and a good quality car. The problem is that they fall apart, when one thing DOES go wrong, a lot starts to go wrong on them and they are very VERY expensive to fix. This is why you don't typically see many old Audi's out there.
I'm always arguing over BMW, Infiniti, Mercedes and Lexus trying to make a point on which one is better and why its better but for some reason every time I catch myself arguing the Audi I'm always left with my mouth shut. Audi has gone from zero to hero. They are the epitome of "futuristic" cars. I have a BMW & Infiniti, once my warranty expires next March I'm getting rid of the 3 series and getting a new A4!!
Definately love the fit and finish of the new Audi A4. It feels more of a luxury vehicle over the previous years. I am wondering if Audi will ever introduce a smaller sedan to replace what the A4 once was.
@MrTickleparty Don't forget A6's supercharged engine compared to the A4's turbo. I love the A4. Smooth ass ride, incredible handle, shit grips the road, and the luxurious interior.
@supernova58 It all really depends on your preference. The A4 has a smaller starting engine size with the minimum size of 1.8T compared to the A6's 2.0. The A4 is much cheaper compared to the more luxurious and powerful A6 by at least 10 grand. Both have optional Quattro and Prestige packages. The newer 09 has the front end of the A5 which is a major plus and a redesigned rear. the A6 also went through some changes which is sleek and awesome. Slightly similar to the A4's body with its A6 flare.
@supernova58 The A4 comes Turbo charged and the A6 has a supercharger. Those are just for performance. I've never driven an A6 but I've owned the A4 and I was absolutely in love with it. The A4 gets 21mpg City while the A6 gets 19 mpg. So the fuel economy on the vehicle is fairly similar. On highway A4 gets 29 A6 gets 28. So it all depends on you. The A6 is a much more roomier car so it is the larger vehicle. The price difference is huge. The A4 starts at $32,000 and the A6 starts at $49,000.

I like this car a lot, especially the front with the LED lights, but you cannot compare this to a BMW or a Mercedes. BMW and Mercedes are the kings of the road, and everyone knows it.
Nice car but unfortunately when the warranty expires they start falling apart real fast and they are very expensive to repair. I thought the SAME exact thing as you, until I actually drove in a friends Red 2009 Audi a4 turbo... OMG, it has a TON of power (Drives more like a v8 than a 4 cylender!) The car surely has a LOT of "wow" factors... And the interior... is pretty much amazing. The red exterior, with he black leather interior w/ the red lighting just OOZES class... Its like, the car really "comes to life" in the dark... Its definitely nicer than a Mercedes C-class, or any BMW I've ever seen!
@CARandDRlVER you need to go sit in one and then tell us how poorly made the interior is....you can't judge the interior from a youtube video...i have a 2008 A4 and the interior is great, these news ones are even nicer
It's a better car than the C-class.. even though the 3 Series is probably the better car in terms of balance, operation, fuel (4,6l/100km A4, 4,1l/100km 3 Series), the Audi looks way better. And ultimately, these cars are very close too each other, so it comes down to what brand you want to carry and design, personality and stuff..
compared audi to bmw and benz.... i would pick bmw... i really enjoy bmw comfortable and smooth driving experience... my cousin and uncle owns this car... my company car was the bmw 525i 2006, and i own a 2010 camry. white cars are so sexy..... ~
whenever i get into the bmw, i would always adjust the seats as though im in some aircraft or spaceship with the zzzzzzzzzzz sounds when you use the power seats... it's so cool. i am such a kid. lmfao
im 16 and i get my license in a couple mouths and this is the car i hope to get. really like it my mom says i have to have a 5 star safety rated car and this car is awesome it reminds me of our old BMW
having settings for seat heat is very good because the temperature of a Alaska winter morning is much different then a Washington winter morning. one reason why Audi will be my next car.
AUDI has been very unreliable, (not talking about 10 years ago) sure the car is sexy as hell and performs great but in the long run they are problematic. I have had 2 Audi's in the past and still my 1996 toyota corolla is running with no major issues. Leasing one of these babies is probably the best option rather than spending your hard earn dollars, go Japanese when buying for the long term
@persaud101 I dont agree...I have a 2008 Audi A4 with the 2.0T (titanium package w/ the 6 speed manual) and it was been nothing but a dream so far. I live in Northern Jersey and made it home from Duke University which is in NC on one tank of gas. I averaged 31.3 mpg and put 515 miles on 1 tank!! I was doing about 78 mph the entire time. I have about 27k miles and so far would definitely get another. the quattro is also very good they are in the rain/snow... highly recommended in NJ
GREAT CARS ...just like ANY car has its in's and out's , but all in all the handling, power , quality is unbeatable , yes for a price , but many auto makers do not offer apple to apple comparison ,
just take the paint finish ...many of that price fade after 10years , the ride is great ...

Im looking to buy one of these however the rear seat leg room is tiny and this is a bigger version apparently than the old one. I check today with the servicing department on the service intervals and cost and they are horrendously expensive service , the 60k service is minium $1400 which is a belt and oil change to the gearbox and brake fluids , what the fuck is the oil made of gold.
I will be reconsidering buying if this is the case, the S4 is out the planet cost for services.
@BrianDewy what did you expect? These cars are complex= more money to maintain. The simple solution is don't go to the dealer for everything. There are a few things you could DIY. If a dealer quotes you on six hours of work, chances are the techs can get it done in half the time. How lucky can consumers be? lol

Complex you have to be kidding mate , Im an engineer and if you think any motor vehicle is complex you greatly mistaken. The engine in an Audi is not difficult at all compared to modern manufacturing equipment available in the world today , these are just mass produced vehicles and all they are changing is the oil( undo the bung and changing a timing belt) wow that my friend is not complex at all , thats a rip off.
@BrianDewy I'm talking about other systems of the car. The cylinder configuration of a Vw Vr6 engine is different than any other engine. The engines do the same function yes, but have different design. Have you even worked on a car besides doing an oil change. If Audi isn't so difficult, then take my advice I previously stated. Its only a rip off if you let it be.
audi's V4 displacement is only 2.0L, while Sonata's V4 is 2.4L. Also a audi's V4 has 258lbsft of torque, while Hyundai's V4 only has 187lbsft of torque.
I got a 2010 Audi A4 today ! You guys ..... I was so shocked at all of the horsepower it has .... and I got the Prestige model as well. Waited a long time to finally get it .... I am so happy now ! This car is the best car I have ever driven. End of story.

compared audi to bmw and benz.... i would pick bmw... i really enjoy bmw comfortable and smooth driving experience... my cousin and uncle owns this car... my company car was the bmw 525i 2006, and i own a 2010 camry. white cars are so sexy..... ~
whenever i get into the bmw, i would always adjust the seats as though im in some aircraft or spaceship with the zzzzzzzzzzz sounds when you use the power seats... it's so cool. i am such a kid. lmfao

having settings for seat heat is very good because the temperature of a Alaska winter morning is much different then a Washington winter morning. one reason why Audi will be my next car.

AUDI has been very unreliable, (not talking about 10 years ago) sure the car is sexy as hell and performs great but in the long run they are problematic. I have had 2 Audi's in the past and still my 1996 toyota corolla is running with no major issues. Leasing one of these babies is probably the best option rather than spending your hard earn dollars, go Japanese when buying for the long term

@persaud101 I dont agree...I have a 2008 Audi A4 with the 2.0T (titanium package w/ the 6 speed manual) and it was been nothing but a dream so far. I live in Northern Jersey and made it home from Duke University which is in NC on one tank of gas. I averaged 31.3 mpg and put 515 miles on 1 tank!! I was doing about 78 mph the entire time. I have about 27k miles and so far would definitely get another. the quattro is also very good they are in the rain/snow... highly recommended in NJ

GREAT CARS ...just like ANY car has its in's and out's , but all in all the handling, power , quality is unbeatable , yes for a price , but many auto makers do not offer apple to apple comparison ,
just take the paint finish ...many of that price fade after 10years , the ride is great ...
so i guess when when you've owned , mercedes, BMWs, i settled on AUDI FOR LIFE

Im looking to buy one of these however the rear seat leg room is tiny and this is a bigger version apparently than the old one. I check today with the servicing department on the service intervals and cost and they are horrendously expensive service , the 60k service is minium $1400 which is a belt and oil change to the gearbox and brake fluids , what the fuck is the oil made of gold.
I will be reconsidering buying if this is the case, the S4 is out the planet cost for services.

@BrianDewy what did you expect? These cars are complex= more money to maintain. The simple solution is don't go to the dealer for everything. There are a few things you could DIY. If a dealer quotes you on six hours of work, chances are the techs can get it done in half the time. How lucky can consumers be? lol

@ImportDreams500 Complex ,which part is complex it is a oil change a timing belt. Complex you have to be kidding mate , Im an engineer and if you think any motor vehicle is complex you greatly mistaken. The engine in an Audi is not difficult at all compared to modern manufacturing equipment available in the world today , these are just mass produced vehicles and all they are changing is the oil( undo the bung and changing a timing belt) wow that my friend is not complex at all , thats a rip off.

@BrianDewy I'm talking about other systems of the car. The cylinder configuration of a Vw Vr6 engine is different than any other engine. The engines do the same function yes, but have different design. Have you even worked on a car besides doing an oil change. If Audi isn't so difficult, then take my advice I previously stated. Its only a rip off if you let it be.

The car perfect, but there is one big problem. Since audi stupidly got rid of the V6, we are left with a 211hp 4 cylinder turbo!
Think about it, a turbo 4 cylinder that only gives 211hp! I believe Hyundai's new Sonata has a un-turbocharged 4 cylinder that gives 200HP!
So if Hyundai can get 200HP out of a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder why does a Turbo A4 get a pathetic 211HP!?

audi's V4 displacement is only 2.0L, while Sonata's V4 is 2.4L. Also a audi's V4 has 258lbsft of torque, while Hyundai's V4 only has 187lbsft of torque.

I got a 2010 Audi A4 today ! You guys ..... I was so shocked at all of the horsepower it has .... and I got the Prestige model as well. Waited a long time to finally get it .... I am so happy now ! This car is the best car I have ever driven. End of story.
