Would anyone know if it is possible to adjust the sensitivity of the EXP Switch (The button found beneath the expression pedal which you activate by pressing down hard with your toes on the pedalt). On my gt-8, if I even just lightly touch it with the pedal, it toggles the switch and this is highly irritating. Is there a way that I could adjust this so that I would need to press down much harder onto it?
The very first GT8 patch is a Marshall amp sound that is great. The first time I played through that tone I hated to have to turn my guitar off. There is So much good stuff in the GT8 and it sounds great through monitors, through main PA Speakers, through an amp, and even with Headphones on. Tones of effects inside. It's great! Although now, I'd suggest getting the new GT10 instead. I'm sure it's the same beast, only better.
Not a problem. There's another programmable switch that activates when the pedal is fully depressed (like a real wah). Its called "EXP SW". That switch can be programed to toggle the pedal between volume and wah. Works great!

You mean you normally like to turn down your guitar before you switch over to wah? I guess it works fine for me because I like the pedal to normally be at full volume amd then use it for fades. Other option is to program the CTL switch to do the toggle. Or break down and just buy another expression pedal. Or buy an external switch to the do the toggle, which would be a lot cheaper than a pedal because any momentary switch will work.
I'm pretty new to the electrical guitar and have been wanting to purchase the GT 8 ever since i saw it. From the other videos i've seen, it seems some what complicated to use. How hard was it to really get the most out of the GT8?
hey dude do you know how to make the gt6 ot 8 's wah sound like your in the vid when you pass the pedal through the amps effect loop. mine sound shitty the volume is really low then the exp pedal is in the upward position (low frequency) but really nice and rich like yours when the pedal is in the downward position(high feq). help...i am passsing it through the effects loop of krank rev1 head
Unless you are looking for experimental stuff, running wah through your effects loop is going to drastically change your volume due to bass taking more power than treble to push. You are either going to have to run the GT-8 through the front end or get a separate wah pedal for it to sound normal.
Alright mate. The wah sounds awsome. What amp are you using? Are you using just the wah through the amps distortion or the distortion on the gt8 as well? Thanks
Hello mate, it's a small Roland Cube 15 Watt amp, using the distortion and Wah through the GT8... I was playing in quite a big empty room which gave it a nice big sound!
Hi, I use the line out..

@riskotibor80
I know you can adjust it, but not exactly how. I think you need to check the manual. I'm sure you'll find the answer there.

Is GT 8 better than POD XT LIVE?
rushhangar 3 years ago
I think the effects of the GT-8 are better. And the preamp models of the Pod XT Live are better.
DaanJM 3 years ago
if you have a good amp... GT 8.. if you dont like your amp... a POD...
JuanitoAlbertoGomez 3 years ago
I've tried both. The GT8 has MUCH better sounds!

hey dude.. nice sounds!.. i use the Gt-8 as well... what WAH kind are u using and what levels on it ? :)
BarouyrSarkissian 3 years ago
The problem is that the GT-8 only has one pedal.
If you use it for normal patches for volume, you're screwed for using it for wah (unless you buy a separate control pedal as well, $75)

But ... you have to go to "full volume" to use that to make a switch!! How does that "work great"!?

Hah - maybe tat is the secret: operate with pedal at full vol for "normal".
I have pedal midway for normal so that I can adjust if I need to get up in the mix more than the lead patch gives me, for some reason.
