Vikings only do 2x10 damage against Phoenix with their slow attack speed thats 10 dps.

Phoenix only do 2x5 damage against Vikings with their fast attack speed which will also roughly equal 10 dps.

Vikings have a range advantage, but phoenix are so fast that the Vikings wont be able to kite.

Vikings have 125 hp. Phoenix have 120 hp and 60 shields.

So in a straight up battle Phoenix should be able to counter Vikings

Unless your opponent doesn't know what Micro is, don't try voidray vs. vikings

I mean I was on the starcraft site and it said marauders got beaten by zealots, then I watch some matches and that didn't seem to be the case so I decided to ask. @VLC9812f mules are goddamn OP, they have the mining power of THREE scv's, and and orbital costs the same same as 3 scvs but it only takes the build time TWO scvs also, if you mule perfectly you will notice than you can temporarily support more than 1 mule per orbital so mules are actually a little more than 3 scvs

if your gonna hate, look at it this way:

1 EMP ghost costs around 100-150 (i forget) minerals+gas

the EMP costs you half your armies hp, aka half the army, around 700-1000 minerals. (for a big mid-game army)

EMP can also cost you the game and my ladder position

I tested this with my friend 10 times each, 20 total on a unit test map with upgrades and without upgrades, and the phoenix won 19/20. And yes we both micro the units, though it doesn't matter since the Phoenix can move and shoot at the same time.

kinda interesting to watch both husky's casting and dayJs analysis of this game.. Husky mentions that he didnt know why he got the phoenix other than to do more dps.. but in day9s analysis theyre speed is used to dart back and forth from each expansion.

I think more casters and Day9 should do videos of the same games so we can watch the exciting caster commentary and afterwards learn from a huge analysis by day9.
