Mario Kart Wi-Fi is NOT better than Brawl's.

Brawl has a visible lag because it tries to make everyone have the same screen to know what's going on.

Mario Kart has an invisible lag, where your screen never freezes sine it doesn't care if people have a different screenshot view. However, you can tell there's a lag when you use items like shells; you'll realize that the driver is actually farther than what he/she seems like because of the lag.

I say it IS better because lag in Brawl hinders a person's competence in the game to a variable degree. MKW on the other hand requires no real skill to play like Brawl does, so any sort of lag that game may have, it doesn't hurt the player much at all. That's just how I think of it though.

Umm...Brawl doesn't require no real skill either. If you've played Melee before and Smash 64 you can pretty much play vBrawl...Brawl+ and Metagame Melee on the other hand require ABSOLUTE skill to beat someone who does nothing but combo your ass until your 4 stocked

MKWii ain't about skill either way. As incredible as item-raping gets in this game, it's safe to say that the name of MKWii is chance and luck... at least that's the way I'd see it, remembering how many times in one race that I've gotten blue-shell'd (my record is three btw), and getting hit by consecutive red-shells, and getting hit by green-shells even though there's a one-in-a-million chance that they'd hit you because they don't home in on you, and the damn lighting cloud which is the worst-

But there is some skill, ways to dodge all of that....but it takes so much practice that there really isn't a point cuz they you'll have no life -_-.

But still, some normal Racing game skills come into play. And your items can be used to counter other items as well, so knowing when to use things for defense is good too.

Nothing can counter the blue shell though... except for the Mega Mushroom and maybe the Starman, but what are the chances of getting those particular items while in the lead anyway? The game typically saves the more devastating items for the racers near last place (though I guys that's fair... in a way).
