Oh get over the gun thing. Earlier Doctors have used guns... and knives. In the very first story William Hartnell nearly murdered a caveman, until Ian stopped him.
Also, if you look closely, you can see it's River Song's gun he's holding... and why do people assume he's shooting someone. More likely to be a light or a security camera or breaking open a container or something like that, or just firing into the air to attract attention.
3 AND 4 held and fired guns. As I recall, fivey did too. 3 was very Bond-ish, minus the sex, so to me, the Doctor with a gun is no big deal. The Doctor this "young" is kinda freaking me out, but I'll give it a go, too. Holding out for Moffatt's writing. Hope he can pull it off.

Moffat also wrote the extremely interesting two-parter that started with "Silence in the Library"--and I believe I spotted River Song at least twice in this preview.
I agree that "Geronimo" makes for a problematic catchphrase (it's no "allons y"). But the way Smith carries himself seems right--and I loved the surprised-looking punch!
Funny, I really don't see him as his real age - he does feel older along the lines of Tennant's age, which I think helps out as far as his casting. I wish he, Gillan, MOffet and everyone who is involved with the production the best.

Yeah i agree, every incarnation of the doctor is unique and i suppose if geronimo is his catch phrase then i suppose let it be. After all DT,s catchphrase was "oh yes".
i'm only saying this cuz, beging he said it at the end of EOT, and it's said here, idk, i'm just getting that funny feeling :P or i could be waaaaayy off base and be totaly wrong about the whole thing! lol
