hit the bassist with a rod. always only the lead parts of this song are in focus. But folks, please listen to the original, the bass guitar is like twin lead in the song. wonderful harmony, esp the bgms..sadly many fail to notice it. true musicians would not miss it. The bassist in this video was just following the chords...actually this song deserves much better playing on the bass. sorry Nadhabrahma orchestra bassist, you screwed up big time

I do agree with you...but one same vein I wud say that no orchestra member ever gets the original score...it takes sincere efforts to listen to the songs to be played and take down the notes bar by bar, rehearse and then perform. Jose played decently, but he would surely know it could have been better....a few notes need correction...but overall, decent & disciplined performance indeed

Who else could compose this number? For this song due to the guitarist, we had to have 16 takes. Very typical. Listen to this background.

Blues only. Jazz. Takes you to New Orleans. He ( Ilaiyaraja) picks up the classical guitar and plays it beautifully and that boy was struggling to play the same. How many such songs he has given me, how many such songs I have sang for him.

Well I am not a tamilian, but know enough to understand that - he was praising Ilayaraja, about how they had to do so many takes to get the guitar piece - music is pure blues - reminded him of being New Orleans - and that Raja's composition is so good that there is not a single wasted note and finally - he jokes that if he starts talking about Ilayaraja he can go on for ages - growing beard like Tagore...
