@desertsonata in the first and second seasons the Mole was a male, Alan Mason in the first and Michael Laffy in the second. Alaina was last season's mole.
Personally, I found Petrina an obvious mole, but that was partly because of the MOLE/5653 number clue in the first episode. If I hadn't caught that, I wouldn't have been so certain about her.
However -- anyone who's watched The Mole before knows to look out for clues like that. I don't think they should have planted such a big one in the first episode.
I completely agree, they may as well have invited every player back and they're lucky cam lasted a while after he re-entered, cuz it was so obvious they had to eliminate and bring people back, and plant the letter and make the game way more complicated to keep her hidden
Petrina is seriously the best Mole actress ever! Not onyl that, she sabotaged EVERYTHING. I guesss she's my favorite Mole from now on. I suspected her last, like always XD
And that was hilarious when she was decribing
that letter in the Lighthouse mission, then ended it with, "It was crazy."

I'd actually say she's the WORST Mole actress ever. They had to fake eliminate both her and Cam because so many people were onto her so early. In what other season or what other version of the show has a mole been so obvious to the contestants that they had to rearrange the structure of the very game itself just to keep the mole's identity safe for the whole game? Very sloppy work all around.
Both the fake eliminations were planned from the start. Major changes like that could not be settled upon at a moment's notice. A lot of planning must be done, like locations for accommodation, and assignments. If they suddenly extend the series by 2 episodes, not only would 6 new assignments have to be created, but it would put the entire schedule out of order. Another thing to note is that Petrina was not suspected by anyone until after her elimination, so it was not a trick by the producers.
I agree, Alaina was a better mole. Just like Petrina, she had a huge clue to her identity dropped in the first episode -- her name being the only one missing from the title sequence -- but because she was generally more subtle and didn't sabotage pretty much EVERY challenge like Petrina did, I actually didn't really suspect Alaina until close to the end!

What a shame Nathan lost, especially because he was sexy :L

Shaun was even lucky to win this series at all. Back in the second episode, he scored the equal-least but was lucky not to be eliminated.

How come every fucking Mole I've watched has a female mole? I'm so bloody sick of it.

IMO, they couldn't let the cheater win.
Shaun probably spent his prize money on alcohol and cake.

I thought Nathan would win but at least I knew patrina was the mole...

Why do they always pretend 100 grand makes you "very rich indeed"? It's not really that much, is it?

I caught on to the telephone code, but thought it was Nathan b/c of it...
I liked the past 2 seasons better, I don't approve of them eliminating people and bringing them back

I thought she was awesome too, but my favourite mole was Alaina from the preceding season.
