Nice video, thanks. I am seriously considering this guitar and have been scouring the 'net to see how it sounds. I have yet to find an example of it doing a classic Hendrix or SRV tone - I mean, do those N3s allow that open, woody, almost hollow sound? I haven't heard that at all, but it is easily heard on most other Strat vids. Don't want to assume it can't do it, though.

Got this guitar and it is as epic as it looks lol. plays perfectly. only tweaked the pick ups height, changed the string gauge and it sounds perfect. and the compound radius fretboard has a great feel to it.

In which case i would definitely go for this guitar, I tried the Fender American Deluxe w/V-Neck and i love it. The S-1 is great, the sustain is better than the average strat i would say, locking tuners.. the trem... noisless pickups ...

Hey, I have American Deluxe Strat and i have a really annoying problem that i cant seem to solve!! any time i do a bend the bridge comes out a slight bit and im not sure if its normal or not but its really annoying, iv tried putting extra springs in the back of the guitar but nothing seems to work, anybody got any idea how to fix it??

@kartkidd If you mean "rosewood" then the difference is that maple tend's to give of a brighter sound opposed to Rosewoods "warm" sound. But fretboard's have little to do with the sound of an electric guitar. I prefer rosewood, but that's just me.

@Safijah That rule only applies to a traditional screw-in arm. The whole idea of a pop-in arm is that you don't have to screw it in, as there are no threads.

@blueskidd96 Yeah, there is a screw on the back of the bridge. (you can only see it when you push down on the trem bar.) After you pop in the trem bar you can tighten that screw (with an allen wrench) to set how freely the arm swings.

@MajorTom106 The S1 on my 2007 is great. This guitar has stacked humbuckers and a boatload of tones. Mine has no noise problems at all so I don't know what that is about.

@rodisme123 probably. Fender guitars are natturaly clean. This guitar is hooked up to a Tube amp, this means , how louder you set the amp how more distorted it gets. With line 6 it probably wount , because these aren't tube amps.

I have a POD X3 LIVE , and a tube amp since a few weaks. And it really does matter a lot! But no worries , Line 6 amp's do have a lot of distortion options ? :) Just put the distortion a bit more up and you'll get the same sound :)

A compound radius neck is certainly NOT a gimmick. It is, in fact, a superior and logical way to design a fretboard surface with a tapered neck like a Strat has. ALL of their guitars (save the vintage NOS ones) should feature a conical geometry.
