When this scene happened in REC, the cast didn't even know what happened because it wasn't in the script. So they were legitimately scared. REC used real scare tactics to cause actual fear in their actors...

This looks like crappy CGI and horrible sound effects. Hollywood has no imagination nowadays.

Oh, and what I mean by "you're going to get bored with the other one" is that once you have watched the first film (REC or Quarantine), the scenes you are going to watch for the next one are going to be very predictable because most of them are literally the same. Just a warning.

This scene the fireman fell from the first floor and in [REC]. . . Alex falls from 2 floors, down to the lobby. That death is even worse than Quarantine just one floor kinda silly and random.

REC was somewhat scarier then this but I don't buy that "Infectious Diabolic possession" crap so its entirely unrealistic, where as Quarantine actually made sense since it was an advanced synthetically altered form of rabies and the next one is going to be on a plane (so it will be interesting). Yet I cant decide one what series to like more, REC or Quarantine? Religious/disease hogwash or actual potential science? Whats your opinion and why?

But i also find REC story and posession much more realistic and better.

Quarantine virus is not original, neither are zombies. Quarantine riped off the virus from 28 Days Later (awesome movie) and those arent zombies.They are basicly "infected rage people who like chew your limb"

Quarantine 2 is completely different, i didnt like but thats my opinion though.

@Chester1004 Interesting opinion, not to be offensive but a virus however uncharacteristically fast it mutates and replicates is still more realistic then biologically spread possession (in which possession is spiritual which means it cannot be passed on through organic compounds, and to do so within mere moments rather then a few minutes to a few hours). I have seen 28 Days later and though infection is extremely the idea of such a disease is not entirely without merit.

REC 2 just blew the synopsis by taking the whole "possession" bullshit way over the line. It would've been truly better if the developers just solely stuck with the virus.

Well, REC or Quarantine? It depends. If you watch either one first, you're going to get bored with the other one. But pretty much, in my opinion and perspective, REC takes the accolade – mostly because

of the obvious fact that Quarantine barely put work: all the developers did was just remake 90% of the scenes from those of REC. They did make the zombies look more scary too, but that's probably about it. REC did a remarkable job of keeping the thrill and avoiding unnecessary, cheesy scenes. And I like the female reporter from REC more, because the one in Quarantine just screams out her lungs – an attempt to make the movie more thrilling, but it just didn't work for me.
