Hi i was just wondering if anybody could help me with cuteftp.

Well i was on cuteftp and i accidentally deleted the whole applications folder, meaning all my apps were deleted

And now on my jailbroken ipod touch, the only thing remaining on the screen is the wallpaper and the top bar (with the time/battery/signal).

So if anybody has any idea how i could get my deleted files back please help.

A lot longer than I expected... My USB has been acting up a little recently so by the time it was finished it probably took a little over an hour. Also I received this error "cannot access '/private/tmp/mediacache" I let it sit for about 20 minutes and my ipod ended up restarting with everything and working perfectly. Hope this helped.

the problem with mine after jailbreak is the network option in Settings > General was removed causing the wifi to go "non-responsive" thereafter. Whether the hotspot is secure or unsecure, ipod was unable to connect period. Fortunately, it was still under warrenty so Apple replaced it no prob.

it all worked followed it perfectly but when my ipod manually restarted all that can up after the apple sign was some white writing. it wouldn't go into recovery either so i thought it was game over for my touch. but after the 14 time of trying it finally went into recovery (the comp reconised it and restored it but nothing was on ipod) im not going to try 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 anymore. sticking with 1.1.2

no this is not illegal because it is your device that you can do whatever you want with, it is not viewed as a cyber attack. The biggest thing apple can do to you is to take away your warranty, but i don't know why they would since this makes people want to buy the ipod touch/iphone more since now there is much more to do on it

When I am in the Jailbreak file and I type in the IP Address and the alpine password an dI hit enter it says..... "'pscp' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or bath file.

No it isn't legal. It is breaking the software which could be viewed as a cyber attack on the company in question (in this case Apple) however so many people are doing it that even Apple's lawyers couldn't sue everyone. It will however void your warranty so you won't be able to send it back to apple for repairs.

AH DAMN bullshit, i had an FATAL ERROR at one of the last lines, it said it couldn't access a certain directory because it did not exist, and now my ipod touch is 1.1.3, but WITHOUT THE INSTALLER, this totally sucks :/ damnit, i tried to get a jailbroken 1.1.3 for 3 days now, it worked 4 times with different apps, but sometimes not, and my 1.1.3 never lives longer then a day cause if i install stuff vie ssh, especially wikipedia offline, my ipod goes into DFU mode...only Wikipedia i think.

plus ziphone is not as complicated it takes 45 seconds just for the jailbreak. plus you could activate unlock and all that. even if you activate, jailbreak, unlock, and erase the bootloader it takes 5 minutes which is less time than this one.

There is little difference in both the methods (this one vs ipodtouchmaster). This one also takes a while if your wifi connection speed is slow. The difference is here you need a computer and you are able to see the progress on the computer screen.

1.Jailbreak 1.1.2

2.Install BSD Subsystem (in installer under system)

3.Install OpenSSH (in installer under system)

4.Go to setting,General,Auto-lock and set that to never)

5.Go to setting,wi-fi, click the blue right arrow on your router to get your ip add.)

6.run the jailbreak app.

Also make sure you extrat the folder and run it off of the zipped folder.

Hey guys, To fix Most errors, make sure you have the following-

Requirements:

Wi-Fi Connection

Jailbroken 1.1.2 iPod Touch (1.1.2 ONLY)

OpenSSH (Available in Installer)

BSD Subsystem 1.5 or greater (Available in Installer)

I did so and the only problem I have now is the wiggle function doesn't work; I'll let you know if it does. I hope you guys get this working too.

Side note, Music stays on if you go from jailbreak 1.1.2 to this version 1.1.3! Thanks!

You must be connected to the router your computer is connected to, then go on your iPod to Settings> WiFi, Then whatever network your on you need to push the blue button on the right, then check the row that says "IP Address 000.000.0.000"
