Amazing!!! My daughter did acrobatic gymnastics and I know how much training, strength and flexibility it takes for a human being to do this. These ladies were WAY ahead of their time.....check out some of the other acro-gymnastic stuff on Youtube... you'll see what I mean!!!!! Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!!!!!!
Betsy Ross is my grandmother these three ladies lived crazy lives after there some what short fame. I have a whole book of family photos and news paper clippings of them and some amazing photos of them.
They have all actually passed away. There lives after this kind of fell apart my Grandma Betsy was a real bad alcoholic and Dixie died from a drug over dose. They were all trained my Great grandma Veda she was amazing. My mom learned alot of there moves when she was younger but never passed it on unfortunately.
Um, people do know that Betsy Ross sewed the first American Flag. She wasn't part of the Ross Sisters. The sisters were Aggie, Elmira, and Maggie Ross.
Did they do any other film parts? This is the only one I've seen and I've always been fascinated by contortionists. I think these ladies were really talented.
I love this clip. Really! The sisters look like they loved performing. I'd like to hear more about their lives, if anyone has any information. Thanks!
It's sort of weird actually my Grandma Betsy she is the one that picks up the apple with her teeth at the end, never spoke much about her life when she was young, I really regret never getting to talk to her about it I was younger when she passed so I didn't really understand how incredible they where and famous. They were in a three stooges episode and had a song "pickadilly hayride" that was covered by frank sinatra and was summoned to perform in front of the king and queen of England.
@ColletePressPlayy I don't know if you'll see this comment. I was completely wowed by these GREAT girls. Their singing was a take of of the Andrew sisters OR Andrews sisters took Ross group off !! So this seemingly was from an MGM film of '44 ( I was 10!!) But not only a great music hall or vaudeville act, BUT lovely girls with it ? Put a note on my site teazle2 and I'd love you to email me some of their shots ??-david
My friend Tuhllulah sent me this video..... i enjoyed this.. but oh my goodness, it waqs almost too painfull to watch "what amazing bodies" !! hee hee
What ever happen to these ladies. One other thing... Perhaps it's just me but I could swear the musical score was in the movie The Godfather (horse head sence)
i'd like to learn about the ross sisters! do you have any information on where eles they may have performed and what became of them? really enjoyed these talented sisters (if they were truly sisters or just an act) great fun to watch! thanks for posting this!

sorry that is not correct there names where Vicki Dixie and Betsy Ross. You know there can be more than one Betsy Ross in this world right?
ColletePressPlayy 3 years ago
Then you might want to write to IMDB and ask them to correct their mistake. Cause those are the names they have for them.

As far as I know this is the only video the Ross Sisters ever made. It's a clip from the movie Broadway Rhythm made by MGM in 1944.
