Dating is difficult in general, but all it takes is meeting that One person that clicks just right. So if all u have is an advantage by just one, then its still a major advantage. Becuz all it takes is just one.

Also, there is another side to it. Some dark-skin women may feel that the quality of men they attract is still lower. Because darker women arent percieved the in the same positive way as lighter women some dudes will use darker women to "pass time" until that "ideal" light skin woman comes along.

this is true to an extent, i think. I was reading a british study that showed men(white men in this case) will "holla" at blonde white women, pedestal them as trophies ect, but will prefer dark haired women as wives. Despite being the "ideal" blonde/light-skinned women are seen more as indicators of a man's status (ie like objects, cars, ect) than what they look for long term mates. Of course everyone is differnet and some prefer those women as LTR material.

I know this because a lot of the women who complain have never had problems getting a boyfriend. I asked a some I know why she complains when she's never had trouble getting a bf and she had no answer for me. I also asked her why she would even want attention from the type of guy who only finds more European features attractive. Again, no answer. But it's ego.

i totally understand the argument about light skin vs. dark skin women but as a black young male i personally am not thinking that deep into it when am attracted to a women. i kinda feel like darker skin black women seem to run to the, all guys choose light skin women as a escape goat for not being pick for other reasons.

Exactly. Besides that, the fine slim-bodied dark-skinned women usually tend to be picky themselves. I've tried to holla at many Iman-looking black women who wouldn't give me the time of day, because they usually be feelin' the 6'5" basketball brothas on campus( I'm 5'8", unfortunately).

But no one wants to talk about THAT aspect of the black-dating equation, though.
