  • Do you know what! Sod what people say, if you wanted their opinion/ advise, you'd ask for it!

Seeing the way you are with your horses is magical, and if that's not horsemanship then I don't know what is! xx

  • @prideygirl1234xx in fairness, by going to a jumping clinic I did sort of ask for her advice... But if it's wrong, it's wrong all the same! Thanks very much for the support though =D xxx

  • Good for you!

I once trotted away from a training lesson when the instructor glowered at my horse and asked 'well what am I going to do with YOU?!' she was clueless and had no idea about horsemanship. Best decision I made really, certainly for my poor horse!

    :) well done!

  • How on earth did I miss this video?! People who say stuff like that really don't have a clue and you definitely made the right call by walking away from the situation. :)

  • Totally agree. Stick by your guns, if you're doing right so far, don't fix what isn't broken. Just cause someone has a list of letters after their name doesn't make them right.

Also, love the clips of you showing Fergie in the rain. It's gorgeous :)

And kudos for the Coldplay! <3

  • you know i agree with how you do things, and you know my thoughts on all this sort of stuff.

    love this, nuff said xx

  • Phil. you've done your horses on your own for god knows how many years, and look at them now, you know whats best for your horses and nobody knows them as well as you do, keep at it on your own! Because Fergies going to turn out the best little youngster and Darach too!

look at what J is now. :)) xx

  • you never fail to amaze me, your riding is beautiful and the bond between you and your horses is truly inspirational :') xxxx

  • This is just so beautiful! Your passion and understanding for these horses is outstanding. I completely understand where you're coming from in your description aswell, every time I come away from a lesson I feel as if they were trying to train a completely different horse and rider, like what they were saying just isn't what my horse needs. No ammount of "equine knowledge" can teach you about each individual horse, because each is a complete and utter individual! Keep it up mrs, don't back downx

  • I love how you have your own methods and you wont switch what you believe in for anybody... its clearly working, i mean look at the boys, theyre amazing <33

    love this video

    loves to you all xxxxx

  • bloody brilliant. you're so, so right - I hate riders that ask questions that the horse can't answer, by that I mean, e.g, incorrect striding of poles, like you said. i think you were really brave to stand up to what you believe in, and you have every right to; he's you're horse, and I think you only have to look at how happy and amazing he is to see how well you're training him.

  • good on you for making your point clear and doing what you believe is right.. and what I think most of us on here KNOW is right! most people wouldn't have the confidience to walk away and would of just kept quiet so I salute you for that! and I also loooveeee this video! xx

  • You are one of the best horsewomen of this horsey world. You see a problem and you fix it, you make yourself get heard for no-one elses sake but your horses. You care for each and every horse, no matter what their past is or what their future may be. You don't label any horse, you try with every single one. I agree with your description completly, I really do. It was as if I was typing it all out except couldn't find the right words, this, you have done perfcetly. You really are a credit to us!

  • good for you! you have done wonders with fergs, you know him better than anyone and you done whats right for him :') there are so many over opinionate people in the horse world, someone was to stand up to them! that instructor deserved a good slap!

  • Your oddly appropriate title is genious :P

I love this! And good on you for sticking up for your beliefs :] xxx

  • The world [especially the horseworld it would seem] is filled with opinions, lots of them. A lot of them are a total trosh but alas, everyone is allowed to have one and shout about it as much as they want. I would ahve to agree with yours here, that instructor sounds like a total bimboing bully and deserves a slap around the face. You know your horse better than she does, a riding lesson is meant to be ordering someone around, you're meant to work on the same level. ANYWAY. Fergie looks abs

  • @Smarby olutely BRILLIANT! Can't believe how well he is coming along with his flatties and jumpies, what a clever sausage. And that show looks MISERABLE, think you both did well to ride in that, haha. xx

  • wow, to be very blunt, your jumping instructor sounds like a total prick! I think Fergie is great and does very well for his age and I hope that this experience doesn't put you down at all, you've done so well with him.

  • Phil! i love this video!! and i actually completely utterly agree!!! you have had to stand up for your horses sake otherwise like you say could effect his training in the future!! i completely agree with you!! :') xxxxx

  • good on you, fergie is beautiful :) xxx

  • wow at your description. the instructor sounds like a bitch.

you are an amazing horsewoman and really feel for the horse. your animals are all exceptionally well cared for and well trained.

i think if you want lessons, you need to find someone who is just like you and supports you 110%.

you're awesome. and you've got awesome horses. and this is an awesome video.

keep working and achieving what you already are. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Good on you for standing up for what you believe in, and always putting your horse first xx
