The banks here in canada had a very light decrease in revenue, but still made a LOT of money. Compared to banks in the usa going into NEGATIVE profit, its safe to say a 1% drop is hardly a real consequence from the usa. there is no direct link with american banks and world banks.

Foreclosure in the USA is the bank's problem.

In Canada it's the homeowner's problem.

But the US Securities industry exported their toxic sub-prime mortgage backed bonds around the world and rated them as safe investments when in fact they were not. That's what I'm talking about. If Canadian banks didn't buy these instruments great! I've just heard that countries all over the world were affected by our deceptive practice of packaging these "securities."

out gas prices were 1,50 a litre, now they are 80 cents, and when the first baillouts happened it hit 60. As a kid, the price for me was 80-90 cents (in like 1998 ish). We fill up a tank with 40-80 litres, about 50-60 for a sedan just to give you an idea. just the fact you guys were spilling out cash, under bush, made our gas drop to almost a third!

I do not get that at all. this is not some partisan issue of left vs. right. this is an issue of right vs. wrong. a private bank should NOT control our nation's money supply. the FED is overwhelmingly responsible for the current economic crisis.
