Wow!!! Green Tortoise buses have sure come a LONG way since 1988!!!! I remember seeing a friend who'd come to visit me and my family and a friend of hers off to San Francisco from Portland, Oregon in June of '88 on a Green Tortoise bus that was a well-used (And I DO mean well-used!!!) 1965 40 foot General Motors New Look bus powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V71N engine and Allison automatic transmission that once belonged to AC Transit in Oakland, My brother & sister & I had a chance to go aboard a
