Beer Review # 477 Wolavers Coffee Porter

I just had my first one with a Swiss cheese cheeseburger that I made to go with it. It was so good that I went searching online to get more info on it and I found your channel. Up until now Deschute's Black Butte Porter was my favorite Porter but I can't get it here in Boston. Definitely is an A to A- beer. Bet it would go great with a London broil steak. Great review.

I've had this recently and I agree with your impressions - it doesn't have a "hint" of coffee, it tastes like coffee. Very aggressive flavor to my taste. Great review!

I always thought the coffee flavor was a little disjointed from the malt character of the beer. With that said, I love the complexity of the coffee flavor of the Alta Gracia Porter and I'm glad to see reviews of some Vermont beers-- as a Vermonter myself. Thanks, and have a happy Thanksgiving!

"It's already in the bottle fool" LOL. Very nice. I've had a few of the Wolaver's Otter Creek and so far I like what they do. You should try their Alpine Black IPA - I thought that one was great. I love coffee, drink it black and have espresso very often - I'll have to look for this one.

Sounds like a good breakfast beer,probably go good with French Toast or Pancakes.
