The whole USB issue is on the pro is predicted to be resolved on October 14 when Jobs give his keynote address and releases the new macs. As for you warranty, it will be voided should you replace the HD. Most equipment that you would have to buy to upgrade the Pro would not be apple certified. I recently upgraded my pro and it has run fine for the past couple of months. It's up to you.
because I want it to remain portable. I don't like the idea of carrying a bag full of accessories. I just want to have a mouse and a power brick. But I will be buying one for when I'm not traveling with it.
so what? your saying a zune can't connect to leopard? That sucks from microsofts part. I mean the iPod does connect to windows, why can't the zune connect to a mac?
You can still have your Windows OS installed (nativelly or in a virtual machine) so you could manage your Zune if there's no software to do that from Mac OS X.
Anyways, I think there's some sort of support for Zune for Linux and Mac OS with a library called libmtp, and a program called XNJB under Mac. So no reason at all to buy a MacBook Pro or any Mac hardware. It's worth it, trust me.
It's expensive, that's true, but cheap things last less time and you'll pretty sure have to upgrade to a better one soon, while with Mac you could stay much more time with the same hardware.
And yes, you can install Mac OS X onto your computer, but It's not the same at all, trust me, I did it like 1 or 2 years ago and the difference is very big.
Sorry for my English :). Oh, and anyways, congrat for your new adquisition.
i have they same macbook pro as you i still have a 120 internal but i have a 250 external for all my media (changing the internal does void your warranty). Use adium its an amazing IM client. Great Video

Well, 2 things:
