nice review. i finally got myself one. mine's missing all the missels, the gun and the missile launcher BUT his electronics do work. i was rly surprised
I'm not all that impressed with it really. It's big, so it looks nice on a shelf but it doesn't have much play value, and I like to be able to play with my toys.
I disagree. I have several G2 figures that have excellent articulation. The cyberjets were amazing and even the G2 optimuses (the new molds) were fairly well articulated. They even took the laser OP and repainted him into scourge for RID. For the record, I'm disagreeing with bricks being the standard, not your liking of the figure, that's all fair opinion. This figure has lots of character, I just think it's wasted without some posing to go with it.
Yeah, all of the 93 stuff was pretty much G1 remolds with stupid new weapons and new molds like this one, they branched out into articulated stuff in 94/95 but it was too late, line was dying without any strong cartoon support
I used to have a lot of G2 toys and most of them were of the latter end of the line. I was so amazed to find the beast wars line in stores after the absence of transformers following G2.
That's funny, that's the one figure that I was thinking of when I mentioned buying my own! I think I only ever bought a couple, and that was one of them. I found it months ahead of release at KB toys. There was only one of them.
I think my second was Optimal Optimus, they still had one left in TRU when RiD was out for some reason and I bought it. Despite being so old at the time it was still full price, haha, makes no sense.
My mom worked at a KB Toys Express that same year, with all clearance stuff, and they had tons of Beast Machines figures. She asked me if I wanted them for Christmas, they would have been cheap as hell and I would've gotten a lot of them probably due to that - but I turned them down cos ugly
oh I see what happend. I didn't see your first post there. I only saw the one in which you said you regretted passing up the Beast Machines, but I thought it was in reference to buying TM2 Megatron.

Neato. Mine would still work if I hadn't left it outside in a cardboard fort. Those things don't stop the rain so good...

I've always regretted not getting this figure, I had the chance to when it was in stores and I just ignored it for some reason

I don't mind it being a brick at all, was the standard for TFs at the time so I can forgive it.

The first wave of G2 which this was part of were bricks, the articulated ones came later
kinglaffo 4 years ago
ah, that explains the later "hero" version of Megs that had way better articulation.

Yeah I wanted them but never got very many

I got them as gifts. I wasn't old enough to buy my own transformers until Beast Wars was almost over.

Same here pretty much. Only BW figure I got while they were still out was Transmetal 2 Megatron.

And I actually regret that now, haha
But anyway, only other Beast era shit I have I bought later on eBay. I still don't have very much

You don't like TM2 Megs? I thought he was rather impressive. Granted, not as great as say, Depth Charge or Tigerhawk, but still very cool IMO.

I like it, not sure what I said to make you think otherwise, sorry for the confusion
