Steve Jobs is an incredibly influential man. He created Apple, got fired from Apple, helped create both Pixar and Next, came back to Apple, and helped renovate how we use products today. Microsoft was there, but you wouldn't have the iPod, iMovie, iThis and iThat. The fact he managed to pull himself up back from the bottom, after getting fired from Apple is truly inspiring. He taught me that even if you think you're at a low, point to pull yourself up, no matter the consequences. Thankyou Steve.
my story, yeah i live in the uk came to america for 3 years, i meet steve jobs, hes a great guy he helped me to follow my life in the right direction, to my able ability, he helped me make 5000 pounds ( round about 6000 dollars), he is and allways will be my idile he changed the world with his creation, this guy will never be forgotten, RIP steve jobs you changed the world with your mind and your own 2 hands thankyou.
rest in heven steve jobs my first computer was a macintosh i loved sow much that thing had sow much fun with it i still have the cd's that came with it :)
I've never really had a apple product myself, I used Mac's from work years (and years) ago, I know it's more creative than a PC ever was (even now, tbh). But I stuck with PC (after cbm amiga basically died). But without Apple or Steve Jobs, PC would still be a business machine. Apple unintentionally or intentionally influenced all the other computer manufacturers. They also did the same with the iPod and iPhone. Apple leads the way, others follow and improve, but Apple goes above that. RIP Steve
I always used microsoft, but I always wanted a Mac or an apple product, but here, apple products are so expensive, so I can't afford one, but Steve Jobs is an Idol for me too..
I am baffled at how many people mourn Steve Job's death. Don't think he suffered much in his life. Spare a thought for Palestine, Pakistan, Bosnia, Somalia & Libya. Media driven emotion is all.
@nashwa1nosha1smokey but the thing is, we dont know those people. im sure if we knew their stories we would mourn them. But we knew steve jobs as a person, and not just some statistic in a war torn country.
@EverythingRim REALLY? You knew him as a person? So you sat next to him and dinner and had a lovely little chat with him? FYI, I know Palestinians, and I can sympathize with them. And even if I didn't, I would sympathize with them because I'm a HUMAN, thus capable of COMPASSION. So Jobs made a pretty little laptop that ran faster then others. What good does that do to Somalians? He made a touch-screen phone? How does that defend Palestinians from being shot in the head?
@nashwa1nosha1smokey you seem to be misunderstanding me. i never said that i dont care about the Palestinians, and the horrible things that happen to them. All that im saying is that we knew steve jobs' personal story, and he died. So we mourn his loss.
Yes, the Palestinians are overlooked, because Americans like to hide their mistakes under the rug, and pretend that they never happened. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't mourn Steve Jobs.
@EverythingRim I never said we shouldn't. He was a respected man, no doubt. Mourn him, but don't turn it into a media-crazed memorial service. Really. Like I said, I don't think Jobs suffered in his life. Was he ever starving? Was he ever threatened at gunpoint? Um, no and no? I repeat my earlier statement, how does his iPhone 4 and Siri and MacBook Pro and MacBook Air and whatever new gadged he's created help world famine? War? Child abuse? Human trafficking? They don't.
only felt bad for steve jobs cuz he died at a young age but i dont think it will change apple for the better prob still be crazy expensive and crazy inconvient to use and user unfriendly mmmm....
@toosweet so agree wit u steve jobs reminds me of cult leader my ipod wasnt very user friendly dificult when synced to a pc only works certain way wit certain programs only made for apple thats it and y are all apple products so expensive like my bf iphone he got only cuz android system was fustrating him and the best buy insurance was $14.99 instead of $9.99 wit every other phone and downloads and syncs songs only wit itune very inconvinate my bf got mad at me chosing iphone for him
nevet got into mac or any apple products cuz it is too expensive and only works wit apple products only had the ipod touch 2nd gen cuz my sis got it free eit her mac book and gave it to me... after that i luved it lol
I have Mac and I've had every iPod since the 2nd iPod nano. I love apple products and it makes me mad to see someone die at such a young age of a disease that has no cure.
@MonaLisaSmiles56 It is NOT our duty to save them. They did it with their own hands. Do you seriously believe that if USA would starve, Africa would help us? Really?
I actually still have a Mac SE, the Mac Classic, Powerbook 4, four iMacs (3 gutted to shell only for iDoghouses), a MacBook Pro and the 11" Air... but just use the Air ( running Photoshop5, Final Cut Pro and entire Adobe Creative Suite!)
Thank you Steve! As a photographer and video producer, unless I am asleep not an hour passes that I do not touch an Apple product you created... and actually when asleep, my 11" Air is tucked under the pillow next to me.
What a giant apple tool. Steve was an asshole, and dying doesn't change that. So sick of everyone pretending he's some kind of savior and innovator just because he's dead. He was a greedy scheming bastard. Maybe he should have put some of his billions into cancer research. That's karma.
@mtndewgamerchick Oh that's right, there was that one time where he sold products at a reasonable price and donated all that money to charity. Oh wait, no he didn't. However, he did however:
1. Take illegal drugs.
2. Avoided tax evasion and fraud charges.
3. Tampered with a AT&Ts products to do illegal things. Then after he founded Apple, attempt to sue people who would jailbreak Apple's products.
4. Was such a prick he was forced out of his own company at one point.
i know its sad that he passed and he was amazing at what he did BUT people die every day and nobody seems to care...people in africa are starving right now and we could prevent that! So instead of buying itunes songs in steve jobs memory donate to a charity and actively prevent deaths!
@MonaLisaSmiles56 Wow, grow up already. Why would I waste my money for...AFRICA?
I prefer giving a homeless guy 10 bucks, atleast he's not a fucking animal.
Seriously, I've seen a raw video where two fucking african thieves were burnt alive cuz they stole 2 or 3 potatoes. Why in the blue hell would I give money to those disguisting savages?
And after all, it's not our problem they are starving. It's not like we stole their food or something.
@AkatsukiDad i'm not going to argue with you. you are wrong and i am disgusted by your views. and actually they are this badly off partly due to the slave trade and imperialist nations taking over their countries and exploiting them... i have seen a video of american police pepper-spraying innocent protesters...does that reflect all of americans - i think not. Children who are starving NEVER deserve to die.
OMG i cant believe the shit that im reading and watching.... first world problems...god i really really dont want to live on this planet anymore, i didn't want to post but FFFfffuuuu this video made me!
Your complaining about reading and watching a video... and you are saying first world problems? Really? your the one complaining because you are just so annoyed reading these comments.
We don't want you living on this planet either if you complain over nothing.
@JustinMPerea hahaha it's funny because you dont even know the problem and yet you have enough ignorance to comment. honestly people like you should leave this planet...
@JustinMPerea oh and another thing sir, i wasn't complaing it's just sad to see all of these idiotic comments yes an alright guy died.... god bless his soul if your into that but really i see people putting this guy up as a pedestal and he honestly didnt even do anything for mankind... if you want to praise someone who actually contributes all his time and money to you and I
When no one even knew what a home computer was, my father brought an Apple to start a business with. He then learned it and he began to help others. This led him to change his business plans and he then opened the 2nd computer store ever in the Washington DC area. Then we struck a deal, I help my dad start his store and he will pay for my college. So Apple allowed me to go to college and start my career as a system's analyst some ~25 years ago.
i like the mac way more than the pc now since my dad just bought my sister a mac few days ago before steve passed away. but i'm half and half a pc and a mac person, my family first computer was a packerbell and was running, windows 96 and we have always used pc because mac was just to expensive but now that we finally have a mac, we finally know what we was missing out,
@magemarshy it depends on what you use it for. Gamers for instance, would like PC's better, because PC's are more compatible with games etc. If you're a musician, a film maker, in the entertainment industry etc, a Mac is more compatible for you. It's all about what you want/use/need it for. Personally, I'm more of a Mac person but I have a PC because I can't afford a Mac... the problem is they're expensive!
I actually never owned a Mac until recently, after getting totally fed up with the pc's inability to stay free of bugs and viruses. I love my imac though I'm still learning how to use it. My first interaction with an apple was in middle school about 1988 or so in art class they brought one in to allow us to play with the paint program, and it made such an impression on me that I still have the picture I made on it to this day.
My story, I got an ipod shuffle for my birthday when I was 9, It was amazing. I would always take it to school and listen to it and keep it safe from being broken... now I'm 13 with an Iphone handed down from my dad and I couldn't have asked for more. :'(
@killjoyDhakshi I started with an ipod touch 1st generation traded some kid a mini bike for it lol. But after that I was hooked. Start used and work your way up.
I used to live in New Jersey, for about 6 years, from 6 to 13 years old, The first computer I got for myself was the Macbook, but I didn't buy it, all of my friends back in school, gave me gift cards and will ALL of them I managed to buy it. I'm 18, and I now have the Macbook Pro, I use iPods, I'm gonna get an iPhone, because it'll always remind me of my friends. I used to listen to some interviews and speeches from Steve Jobs about life and creativity, and it helped me push myself further.
My first contact with computers ever was in 1992 when I was learning for my job. It was an apple and it still worked with the DOS-program. A few years later I had to work with apple imac and I loved the funny looking egg because the graphic program was very good for that time. we used it for picture edit for our work.
i was a PC user from 2007 till 2010 but in 2011 i bored with the PC its so slow and bla bla bla... and i bought Mac Book Pro this year and its way way better than the "PC" thing! and also this year i bought my first iphone because i was using a Nokia mobile it was sucks!! when i get in love with apple steve died :(
This gave me goosebumps and made me smile! I was born into a PC family, mostly HP/Compaq. The only Apple product I had/have is my iPod Classic. I've been wanting to get a Macbook so I can go further with my artwork, animation, video-editing, etc., but it's all so expensive.
I know this is stupid and everyone does this but here goes anyway. We are a new upcoming youtube channel from Australia and we would love for you to subscribe so if we get 500 subscribers by December Jack will dye his hair blue and you will all get to watch it. We're called the Frenchmen Platoon. I'm sorry if i've wasted your time but if you could check us out, that would be awesome.
My Family has always been a Mac family too. Although I'm only 14, I have quite the history. We, actually, used to be a Linux family too, until my grandpa got a job in the early 90's as the Regional Manager of Apple. That Made my dad think, So he got a discount off of a "Salad Bowl" Mac and just instantly fell in love. We currently have 4 IPhones, one IPod touch, two Ipod videos 7 IMacs 2 E macs, 3 Macbook Pro's 2 Apple TV's and one, REALLY dusty Salad Bowl. Steve Has Forever changed My family.
I had an ipod mini (1st generation), but it malfunctioned pretty quickly and so I got an ipod nano (2nd generation) on warranty... and I still use that nano now.
I don't have much of a story because I'm a PC person, but it was amazing to see what a giant effect Steve Jobs had on technology worldwide. RIP.
i love that you told how excited you were about sending your first email on a mac, i can still vividly remember my dad teaching me how to do so and the sheer amazement i had in doing so. steve jobs has definitely made such an enormous impact on my day to day life and when watching the stanford speech for the first time yesterday, i was so inspired, i definitely welled up
This is my Mac story... I used one in school in 3rd grade and it crashed on me and i lost all my project (true story btw, the only time used a mac was in elementary school). That's it... I'm a Microsoft and Android lover, but Steve Jobs was one of the most creative people in recent history. He will be missed R.I.P.
I got my first Apple product when I was young. It was an i-pod. Ever since then I have been obsessed with Apple. I recently got a mac pro and I can't use PCs. Even if I need to use someone else's computer and it is a PC I will not. I'm in love with Apple products and I couldn't live without my macbook. <3 :3
Love my iPod. Love my Mac. Love my Apple TV. I love my iPhone. I love STEVE JOBS. Regardless of what he's created for me, he's also inspired me to no end. I used to spend hours watching his speeches, & reading his quotes. Sixth grade, we were told to do a presentation on something/someone who inspired you. Who did I choose? The one & only, Steve Jobs. I'm forever grateful to him. He's a genius. Rest in paradise, Steve Jobs. Don't forget we love you.
All I have is an iPod but that iPod means so much to me because like you said, you have the ability to carry your music everywhere. It's sad he's gone but his legend lives on.
There is a man in the thumbnail. Can u find him? Thumbs up if u did.

101orbitaldefence 5 months ago
@101orbitaldefence I could but I want to play games, use the internet and have a good computer with ram with at least 3 digits
magemarshy 5 months ago
@magemarshy it depends on what you use it for. Gamers for instance, would like PC's better, because PC's are more compatible with games etc. If you're a musician, a film maker, in the entertainment industry etc, a Mac is more compatible for you. It's all about what you want/use/need it for. Personally, I'm more of a Mac person but I have a PC because I can't afford a Mac... the problem is they're expensive!

Linux was invented 1990.
The Mac was invented 1984.
HOW DOES THAT WORK?!
Anyway. RIP.
winfr34k 5 months ago
I actually never owned a Mac until recently, after getting totally fed up with the pc's inability to stay free of bugs and viruses. I love my imac though I'm still learning how to use it. My first interaction with an apple was in middle school about 1988 or so in art class they brought one in to allow us to play with the paint program, and it made such an impression on me that I still have the picture I made on it to this day.

This gave me goosebumps and made me smile! I was born into a PC family, mostly HP/Compaq. The only Apple product I had/have is my iPod Classic. I've been wanting to get a Macbook so I can go further with my artwork, animation, video-editing, etc., but it's all so expensive.
I'll be watching this video again!

RIP.
