why is the ninja 1000 low on horse power when compared to the zx 10r there both 1000cc engines from the same company, truly dissapointing unless it could be tuned
No need, Ive seen a few for sale on cragslist. I like both bikes, It's just the numbers given for size, Seem they should be in a different class. The K- is 1043cc & the S- is 1255cc. There is a 212 cc difference. Almost a 1/4 LT. If they was comparing a K-250cc & a S- 150cc no one say it's a fair test. That' was my thoughts on the video. I prefer a bike around 600 to 650cc, brand doesn't matter, They just needs to be be fun & reliable, Also get good MPG's. Best, yl
It may very well be the old Bandit, but it's more of a all a rounder than the Ninja. Throw the factory hard bags and top case on it and you've got a doable tourer as well.
There's a big size difference of 1/4 LT over the Ninja, To me that says a lot for the Ninja. It should be much slower, But it's not. In the end both should be fun to ride. That's all that matters, and of course reliability. Only time will tell there.
not everyone wants hardcore sportsbikes and the chiropractor appointments to go with them, most people want some comfort with a bit of speed thrown in.
@sharjawee id say they were bikes for people that ride on the street and not on the track. People who actually like to go places, no pretend to a racer
@sharjawee i will, different things do it for different poeple, just like woman, some people like really focused sportsbikes, some like dirtbike some like cruisers, some like fun bikes they can do a bit of traveling on, but aren't pan europeans. Iv had zx6r's zzr's all sorts
@89Design Congratulations...you probably worked hard for the winnings.I`m sure you will spend many hours later in life telling your grandchildren the stories of how you once was "FIRST".Ahh, how they will look up at you and wonder in amazement about your leet skillz as a master first`er.

The Ninja 1000 is a beast! And the GSX 1250 looks like the GS 125 with a larger front, hideous!

the Kawasaki is much more visually appealing.

@ylism Check the forums..On the bandit forums it is extremely rare to find someone complaining of a failure...

ninja 1000 feels much more technologically advanced than the GSX1250FA.
when I look at the gsx1250fa, I see the old bandit 1250.

@FrostbitexP I've owned a 2006 ZX-6R, a 2005 ZX-10R, and now a Ninja 1000. The Ninja 1000 is BY FAR the best of all 3.

the suzuki looks ugly and outdated. Ninja for sure.

@alehax27 the ninja looks strange as well - the suzi is classier and a better bang 4 the buck

@alehax27 Tis thy opinion :)
The suzuki seems to have a higher smiles per dollar ratio...see the video where don launches the bike from 4th(?) gear.
