That is like the point around a black hole where all matter is sucked in. The victims or 'narcissistic supply' are sucked in and cannot escape until the fecal matter's (true narcissist's) attention draws in another victim to be used to extract narcissitic supply. I have heard of narcissist committing suicide (uncreating themselves) when they are completely exposed as to who they are (see Josh Powell).
This is the perfect metaphor for the high level narcissist. The flirtatious, exaggerated Mrs. Kry, as the false self, acts as the 'wingman' or external manipulator 'entrapping false self' personality that lures the unsuspecting 'narcissistic supply' to the box containing the true self, which is represented as a one eyed 'pile of fecal'. Their curiosity finds them sticking their eye in the peep hole (or poop hole) puts them into what some refer to as the event horizon of the narcissist.
I will NEVER buy anything advertised in this way, in which there is an intent to force you to sit through the ad in the beginning, with no option to skip it, lest you miss part of the clip.
A tiny space creature, bent on destruction, is captured by the scientist Mordecai Spazman. His rival, professor Harvey Kry, convinces the media that Spazman's claims are bogus. The vengeful Spazman boxes up the invader's miniature spacecraft as a wedding gift, presenting it to Kry's son. The alien imprisons Harvey Jr. inside the ship, to force Dr. Kry to help him complete his mission. ( This was from IMDb) How do we know Spazman's name when we are never told in the episode? Did I miss it?
The reason for the bride's husband disappearing 35 years ago was because of a grudge held by a scientist who was dismissed as a crank by him & thus was given an evil alien creature in a metal box in the guise of a wedding present.
Truly, a memorable example of 60's Sci-Fi TV at its best.
So, we have a one-eyed monster in a box. The main characters are two virile newlyweds and a woman who was jilted on her wedding day. I'm not so sure this is Sci Fi, but if it's meant to sound like a horror story written by Sigmund Freud, I'd say they nailed it.
Important life lesson. If the only thing available is being rented by Baby Jane, don't worry about being rude. Just get back in the car and drive away.
I loved this episode, but it always baffled me. Why would anyone agree to help the creature if it was going to blow up the Earth? It's suicide. But then I thought about other Outer Limits episodes in which aliens were experimenting with human behavior. I think the alien in this episode was doing just that, and really had no intention of blowing up the world. Of course in the end it had to self-destruct so that Earthlings would never know about the experiment.
The creature's form? Vivia's moaning with new hubby on the wrong side of a stuck drawer....er, stuck door on your wedding night? Put it together and what've you got......
wow!,this is fantastic!,this is one of my most favorite outer limits!!!,could not remember title, just always remembered that black box!!,and when people looked in it they were taken like sucked in,wow!!,thanks for this one!!,peace...

Slow and boring as possible. Worst episode. Waste of time.

Miriam Hopkins did a great job. She reminded me of Bette Davis in "What Every Happened to Baby Jane?"
