Cheetahs don't run at maximum speed for fun.

They only do that when they hunt a fast animal.

If the cheetah was hunting and the dog was chasing him, your uncle would have returned home without his dog.

That cheetah would have turned against the dog because it's the easiest prey.

So maybe it's true, but I'm 100% sure that cheetah was not at maximum speed and was probably a "tame" one that was just playing with the dog.

NOTHING beats a cheetah on land and that's a fact.

@YekaDruid A video is not a fact. Facts are documented by scientists. The fastest animal on land is a cheetah. Scientists have been measuring that for hundreds of years. Who are you to argue with that? Human = 25 mph Greyhound = 40 mph Racehorse = 50 mph Antelopes = 60 mph Cheetah = 70 mph There are your facts, now stop arguing, I'm right and you know it! And yes it's not designed to fight against lions or any other predator, I never said that, read the damn post properly!

Why are you telling me the miles per hour other animals can go? I said nothing of speed. I was basically pointing out that a cheetah wouldn't turn on a dog (depending on the dog of course, but let's use a retriever as an example).

We're too far away from the point that it was all about.

He said the cheetah was chasing the greyhound of his uncle and he said the cheetah couldn't catch up with the greyhound, which is wrong.

So I started to turn things around and said, what if the dog was chasing a hunting cheetah and so on.

Sorry but I'm not in the mood anymore to go further into this, I'm done with it.

The cheetah is the fastest animal on land, period.

And the cheetah would win the fight.

i love greyhounds. Its funny I love about any fast animal there is. Ive been annoying my parents for a thoroughbred but for now i have my other arabs. It wonderful to see a guy whos so into greyhound racing and treats his dogs beautifully

I love all the races horses and greyhounds, in 2004 took my family to sanford racetrack in florida after a day at disneyworld, won about 300 american, and being from Canada it was worth much more at the time

I know a lot of hunters who use Greyhounds to hunt Coyotes, Greyhounds are much faster.

and so on..there also are meny bird and fish species that is faster then the grey...but by all means..its the fastest animal ive seen! have a Spanish Galgo, pleese loock and comment my galgo vids!
