What they did use were live-action sequences with an actor playing Prince Phillip and swinging the sword, climbing the cliff. They also had Eleanor Audley in costume as Maleficent. Disney had a tradition of using live actors to pose for his animated characters
They also animated the real-life action movements of an actress portraying Aurora for the Forest Scene when she is singing "I wonder" and dancing with the animals

i remember the first time i was in paris (7 years ago) in disneyland and that dragon was under the castle, and when it started move, i got really scared and jumped behind my dad, he stills thinks that's funny.
I remember going there when I was little, my sister hated it and wanted to run out but I thought it was awesome. While I knew better than to think it was real, it still looked suspiciously lifelike.
i went there in february this year at my birthday. me and my best friend walked down ti it and i still jumped, but this time i jumped behind my best friend. haha

One of the best things about the Disney villains is that their personalities represented 1 or 2 of the 7 Deadly Sins such as Greed, Wrath, Vanity, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth and Envy. Maleficent represented Wrath for she was furious for not being invited to the celebration of Aurora's birth so she got revenge by putting a curse on her.

I think on the Disney house of villians there's a clip where all the disney villians are taking over The house of mouse kicking all the good Disney characters out & there's a clip where Maleficent was singing & turned herself into a dragon & was sharing a drink with Chernabog from Fantasia. Sometimes I wonder how some of the characters from the house of mouse show fit inside the House of mouse club? like that goofy giant from the Fun & Fancy free movie.
The queen of snow was more of an arrogant and vain potryal, Malefcint was designed as a more sinsiter entity given her gothic and supernatural approach to her powers.Even her fire emit errie green relaed to evil. There may never be another Malefcient from disney simply because Disney no longer designs its characters as serious or as intimidating as it once did. You only nee to look at jafar, powerful yes but his expressions are still too cartoonish.
I thought Scar was pretty evil and sinister. My favorite line of his comes after young Simba runs off and as the hyenas approach, Scar coldly says, "kill him." I do think there will never as intimadating a villianess as Malificent though.
Maleficent is scary, but the villain of all villains for me is the Coachman in Pinocchio.

maleficent in her human form and dragon form used to give me nightmares when i was younger. i had nightmares she was waiting for me at the end of a dark hall way.

I've noticed that Snow-White & Sleeping Beauty are somewhat simmilar stories I guess because there both princesses that has beautiful voices & they both had been put under a spell & fell asleep in both stories & both are awake by love's 1st kiss.

We all have our opinions. :) How about Cruella De-vil? now she was scary! or the Queen of hearts from Alice In Wonderland? it was scary when she yells off with there heads I think.

I thought Jafar was scary as the red genie on Alladin 2. & Scar was also a pretty scary yet cool villian. I was thinking speaking of hilarious Villians wasn't Ursella from "The Little Mermaid" a hilarious villianess? xD

I think on the Disney house of villians there's a clip where all the disney villians are taking over The house of mouse kicking all the good Disney characters out & there's a clip where Maleficent was singing & turned herself into a dragon & was sharing a drink with Chernabog from Fantasia. Sometimes I wonder how some of the characters from the house of mouse show fit inside the House of mouse club? like that goofy giant from the Fun & Fancy free movie.

The queen of snow was more of an arrogant and vain potryal, Malefcint was designed as a more sinsiter entity given her gothic and supernatural approach to her powers.Even her fire emit errie green relaed to evil. There may never be another Malefcient from disney simply because Disney no longer designs its characters as serious or as intimidating as it once did. You only nee to look at jafar, powerful yes but his expressions are still too cartoonish.

I thought Scar was pretty evil and sinister. My favorite line of his comes after young Simba runs off and as the hyenas approach, Scar coldly says, "kill him." I do think there will never as intimadating a villianess as Malificent though.

'how many does it atke to deliver a message'
To which his hencman smirks 'just one' and draws his bow and fires.
Scar though was a truly treacherous foe, he's the classic 'stab backer' of the bunch
