  • If i remeber right Adult swim used to play this with a picture of a elevator a long wile ago.

  • is Trip-Hop a subgenre of Hip-Hop?

  • @ps895 maeby, but who cares? :-)

  • @sachsemoi me

  • @ps895 Electronica actually. Although it can be considered a sub-genre of hip-hop, I believe it is officially a sub-genre of Electronica. :)

  • @LDUKMusic ok, thanks

  • Judy Clay and William Bell -- Private Number

  • Sample was also used in Pretty Lights - Finally Moving and all the music that came from that.

  • Hey @BlankDownhill my boy look at this song

  • NWA- Players Club

    u suckers...

  • @metheone61 pretty sure its rappin 4 tay actually

  • I like

  • a thing I certainly don't understand, how do people even dare to dislike something like this.. just proves that some human creatures have a demented music taste

  • definitely rappin 4 tay players club beat

  • reminds me of hey arnold!

  • Reminds me of Rappin 4 Tay - Players Club. Same sample.

  • when i first saw this video it had 300k views now its about to surpass 1 mil... thats pretty awesome still not enough though cause i seen it about 5k times myself

  • Pretty Lights should've kept the piano. I would love it almost as much as this one.

  • Players Club!

  • sweet

  • playas club by rappin 4tay sampled this groove

  • @blac2thafuture this was on an album released in 2006, playaz club was released in 1994 (i think)

  • did flo rida sammple this?

  • @limzero1992 Flo rida sampled Avicci's song "levels". Avicci sampled the song "Somethings got a hold of me" by Etta James. This song also sampled Etta James's song but if you listen to flo rida's song the only similiar part is Etta James's verse. Pretty lights used this song though. I guess alot of people liked her song lol.

  • this could not have been made by mortal men.

  • my fucking headphones are busted now... thanks amazing song.

  • rappin 4 tay used this as a sample

  • I can not believe this song has been ruined..

  • indimenticabile pezzo dei NOW...

  • Came for the music, stayed cuz my feet fell off.

  • the intro is like sheep of pink floyd

  • 28 people didn't listened to this track while high..

  • @screwface1011

The same sample was used in Bob Dylans "All along the watchtower"

I myself like rap, and it was also nicely used in one of Polish rap tracks if you want to check it out its Okoliczny Element -"Coś dobrego coś złego"

    Such an amazing beat.

  • If around 0:32 -0:33 seconds sounds familiar, back in the day (6ish years ago) when [adultswim] used to be awesome, they used to play this song for their black screen comments. I love this song regardless, but just in case some people were scratching their heads wondering where they might have heard it before :-D

  • "when adult swim used to be awesome" agreed. Flying Lotus, Nightmares, Tycho. Found such good music watching that shit haha.

  • @MisheruKoby i never saw the bump for this song but it automatically sounded like something that adult swim would put

  • @MisheruKoby yeah i really think i have heard the beat before?

  • @MisheruKoby I'm totally there with you. I know the exact moments you're talking about. That little thing kinda told you what show was coming on next.

  • Who the fuck cares about who took who's music. Just kick back & enjoy it! Stop crying about it! Smh

  • Think TImbuktu's song "de löser sig" has the guitar sample in it...

  • does this song remind anyone else of All along the Watch Tower?

  • @screwface1011 yes totally

  • Comment removed

  • Judy Clay & William Bell Private Number The sample

  • i love both pretty lights and nightmares on wax but i got say night wins

  • best sample of this tune is AIM's one

  • Thank you, pandora.

  • @ATXrollerblader

     I agree Thank you pandora!!!

  • @ATXrollerblader it doesn't work in europe <.<. If i use a proxy it won't load (because the proxy server is too far away) and if I dont use one it denies me the access.

  • To all you Fools who think that avicci, pretty lights or nightmare on wax came up with the original beat...It was a beat from the 70s by Judy Clay and William Bell called Private Number. A time when people had to be talented to make it in the industry

  • @apie43base >implying this person is trying to "make it in the industry"

    >implying judy clay and william bell "made it in the industry"

  • @sonicbehemoth Why do you put ">" in front of implying? Just seems kinda weird.

  • @Danorowski It's likely that he picked up the habit from countless hours of browsing 4chan.

  • @DJFauxami

    or any other imageboard

  • @apie43base

Thanks for that. Could never quite remember who it was. Great sound for sampling. Should be used more!

  • @apie43base There are still talented musicians out there, you just gotta really look cause they don't look like supermodels and they generally don't use the same 5 formula's to a hit single.

  • as much as it matter who the orignal sound is from it honestly dosnt, I've heard so may different versions of this and theyre all great in their own way, my personal favourite is pretty lights

  • @xbdayx Pretty Lights didn't even sample this, they both just sampled the intro guitar riff from Private Number by Judy Clay and William Bell. Regardless, agreed, Flo Rida is the one to be mad at.

  • wonderful song!

  • players club, 4tays :)

this is where its frm? SWEET

  • so good and relaxing

  • is this a mashup w/ pretty lights or did you do everything except the pretty lights guitar?

  • @MrGuinness77 this is the original. Pretty Lights sampled the guitar.

  • @ironicfruit actually, Pretty Lights sampled Rappin 4-Tay's "Playaz Club," which sampled the guitar riff from Judy Clay and William Bell's "Private Number." This also samples that same guitar riff, just in a different way.

  • A track by aim called let the funk ride also samples this riff

  • the keyboad solos and this note that is extended in the beggining makes it more chilling than Pretty Light's remix

  • what a groovy lil tune

  • any1 knows the name of the original song?

  • @limzero1992 It's called "Private Number" by Judy Clay and William Bell.

    /watch?v=eeuVS6vnN7w

  • @made4djing ty :)

  • I like this one better than PL's remix....much more chill. Just a nice tune either way though!!!!

  • i'll just bob my head to this for a minute or two.

  • nightmares on wax + skate by night = orgasm...

  • Sounds familiar? Rappin' 4 Tay - Players Club

  • Old adult Swim before it got whack AF

  • pretty lights has nothing on this

  • this tune is absolutely amazing, thanks to being so high right now and to beatport because i wouldnt have listened to this 1,041 times before i wrote this !!!

  • a3anovich Thank you!

  • ooohhh ohhh somtiimmeess I get a good feelinggg, yeahh..

  • whats the guitar sample that repeats in the beggining? ive heard the before somewhere..

  • @whydoesthismattr: It originally comes from Sonny Stitt's song Private Number from the late 60s. Good song, you should check it out. Rappin' 4Tay also sampled it in the 90s, and Pretty Lights sampled it the same year Nightmares on Wax did. Which was 2006 I believe.

  • @whydoesthismattr Rappin' 4 Tay - Players Club. It's a bay area anthem ;)

  • Where Can I find"same"songs??

  • @StrangeKingLeone whosampled. com

  • wooohhoooooo

  • Like the song but can't stand the fake record crackle that's in there. If you have good quality vinyl and it's not dirty, it shouldn't make any extra noise at all.

  • all along the watchtower chillin' edition

  • finally moving anyone?

  • @susuraj1996 yesss! :) pretty lights is a genius too.

  • Sounds like the kind of music that plays while riding in the elevator, or shipping at walmart. It's background music.

  • The Watchtower...

  • plays club

  • there are some people that can translate bein high into music. these guys can.

  • Thanks, Pandora.

  • smoke a bong to this

  • jadore

  • awesome.

  • This remind me Hey Arnold! for some reason...

  • @MaxRideWizardLord Hey Shortman!

  • @MaxRideWizardLord yeah It kind of has a an urban sound to it, doesn't it?

  • @MaxRideWizardLord Arnold was the man with that saxophone

  • @MaxRideWizardLord I miss that shit. I watched it all the time.

  • @MaxRideWizardLord Hey Arnold was in a pretty jazzy atmosfeer: new york, relaxed, streets.

  • this song makes me wish i could go back in time-- fix everything and save my family... phurreals holmes.

  • good sounding music but i don't think pretty lights stole the original tune from NOW.

  • you people saying pretty lights stole this shit, your fuckin dumbbbb. have you even listened to his song??? he takes the background beat and thats just about it. he doesnt use the same piano stuff and he samples a lot of other great music into that song too. Derek Vincent Smith is one of the most talented fools alive. learn about it.

  • Sred Connexion - Partis de rien

One of the best French rap ever made

  • Comment removed

  • Derek Vincent Smith-I have seen you in concert and you fucking make a crazy show but the fact that you sampled or stole this song makes me lose a lot of respect for you. Let me ask, what songs have you truly came up with yourself. I thought Finally Moving was your original...too bad man.

  • @MrLSDandMe That's your fault for not knowing that every song he has, samples some other song....just like most electro artists.

  • lol @ a group called pretty lights stealing this track and calling it theirs! posers.

  • @hazmat151 Pretty Lights has 3 sick versions. Look up Rappin 4 Tay's Player's Club for the goods though.

  • @TrajektorieLogik heard every version already, this one is the best

  • @hazmat151 Pretty Lights didn't steal it, he just sampled it.

  • @Imxoneofthefallen some people dont know the difference. ALLmusic is a collaboration...even if you yourself make it from scratch, the inspiration that helped u make that is the collaboration.

  • @hazmat151 2 things:

    1. Pretty Lights is one person

    2. He didn't steal it, he sampled it

The person you should be getting mad at is Flo Rida, just sayin

  • @xbdayx GREAT POINT

  • @xbdayx and rapper before that =rappin 4 tay

  • @kigru and before that judy clay and william bell's private number

  • this is so hot

  • @boxlessfello You mean finally moving?

  • this song sounds alot like Players Club- Rappa 4 tay

  • pretty lights uses the exact same sample in 'finally moving on'

  • @boxlessfellow thank you captain obviou5

  • nightmares on wax is amazing, their songs can sound so different but still sound awesome

  • Likey like

  • awesome song thanks for upload

  • this reminds me of hey arnold

  • @ihateskateboardin LOL YES! ME TO

  • This is easily my all-time favorite instrumental hip hop piece. Simply stunning, and it's helped me get a lot of my friends interested in the genre.

  • players club is the main beat

  • 0:22 is a better replay button

  • PURE IRIE VIBES.

  • Did Pretty Lights sample this?

  • @Kriskazam Yeah, I've always wondered the same thing. Is this beat credited to NOW or Pretty Lights for 'Finally Moving'?

  • @Kriskazam Both Pretty Lights and Nightmares on Wax sampled the guitar riff from "Private Number," a soul song from the late Sixties by a collaboration of Judy Clay and William Bell

  • @AmblingAmp520 thank you captain obviou5

  • @AmblingAmp520 finally know where the song original from, thanks

  • @kaypenn24 idk what you fools are talkin about, this beat is originally from "players club" by Rappin 4Tay

  • @gmiyashiro No, it's originally from Private Number by Judy Clay and William Bell. Players Club just sampled it first...

  • Discovered them yesterday when one of their songs was on the radio.

I know I'm late, but... still glad I found this. ;)

  • This song is too short!!!!

  • Bought this cd. Best thing I ever did.

  • yeh ive heard the background part of this song in pretty lights, but i still like this song as well :]

  • janet jackson, i get so lonely, similar sound

  • a few more dislikes and the like bar will look like a lit joint

  • AHHH who sampled this song?? driving me crazy i can't think of the name

  • @scrapplejacks pretty lights bro

  • yep! pretty lights - finally moving

  • @scrapplejacks Rappin 4-Tay - Player's Club

  • Adult Swim Elevator Bumb :)

  • Isn't that ONE FREAKIN AMAZING Rendition of Peter Green's Slabo Day? Fuckin LOVE N.O.W. !!!!!

  • 18 ppl are deaf

  • thumbs up if you are stoned :D

  • @blubkross

shut the fuck up, you poser

  • Who could dislike that?

  • check out Scred Connexion - Partis de rien if u like this one and hip hop

  • pretty lights

    /

  • nice

  • Might like Metaform - Crush, seeing as it's got the same guitar riff... Nightmare's version I think is by far the coolest though.

  • same thing like

    pretty lights - finally moving

  • such a great track!!

could anybody recommend me other groups/producers like NOW?

  • kids, get outta the pool. it's time for Adult Swim.

  • Repris par la scred!

  • Funkadelic as Del

  • Dear God, What the hell is this?,,... this shit is awesome!

  • Oh god i love it so much.

  • I prefer the Pretty Lights's Finally Moving, but it's f*king great !

  • @jpallen2007 Eazy & Too Short Aren't Even In The Song "Players Club". It's Rappin' 4Tay Clown. And Who Gives a FuQ!?! Good Music Is Good Music. That's Why So Many Different People Use This Beat. It's a Universal Vibe My Man

  • @jpallen2007, Ripped off? More like improved upon. He added the jazz to a popular beat from the 90s. I think you need to revaluate your tastes in music.

  • Nice relaxing tune. Steal it all you want ,sounds good

  • @niallz We were both wrong. The original sample was from Judy Clay and William Bell's "Private Number".

  • @rahtool

The original sample may have come from Clay and Bell, but the version being used now by these dub step dudes or whatever is the sample that Eazy E mixed down for "Player's Club"

  • lol@ pretty lights ripping this shit off so hard

  • @hazmat151

Nah man... This beat is ripped off from "Player's Club" by Eazy E & Too Short.... Been getting stolen for years :P

  • riff sounds like a pornesque 'along the watch tower'

  • simply eargasmic....

  • I wish i was floating on thin air until new year, and until im there i dont care of ho , what and where, looking at me and stare know about me and be aware of that shining star thy saw in the air, sparkling in the sky whith flair and when i get to where i care i do it al over until new year !
