WOAH! Coincidently, I have the same IBM laptop and have been wanting to use it for a scan tool. It has 1 USB port and does run Windows 2000 Pro which has better USB support over Win98.
As you were clicking on the included programs and watching them crap out, I began to get discouraged. Then that last program ScanTool ran and I have my hopes. I wonder though if Win2000Pro will allow ScanMaster to work better.
@eduardosantacruz yeah you can read all that as well. As well as you can read throttle %, Fuel remaining in the tank and whatever other sensors are in the car that are linked up to that port. All depends on what ELM327 software you are using and what gauges its equipped with
Wow, pentium 2....did you see the little hamsters inside on their wheels...lol j/k...i actually bought a similar product from amazon which will arrive tomorrow so thanks for the review
@chiquinarco55 I found that you had to lower the baud rate of the port from 115200 to 19200. I then didn't use the shitty software it came with and did some hunting for some elm327 software and found a few titles.
By any chance do you know what each pin number stands for , am trying to program a new keyless control so I was thinking of jumping the obd any ideas or ways to programing a new keyless control

everyone should really get an OBD2 scanner...shows you when the mechanic is trying to screw you over.

What can you do with this?
