HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! We just celebrated our #40 Anniversary last October with a trip to a B&B in St. Jacobs here in Ontario at the MaryHill Inn. It was really great. I want to go back. The B&B was built 160 years ago. We went to the local farmers markets and enjoyed it so much. We took pictures but sadly no video. Next time LOL. There is nothing like a romantic getaway to give you some great memories!

It's kind of funny that you say it is historical when it was built in 1923. It has to be at least few hundreds years old, to by considered historical in my country - Slovakia, heart of Europe

When his mother died he was sent back under his uncle's guardianship & sent to boarding school in Scotland. I have done extensive genealogy on my family. Hey Betty we were just in Louisville this past summer when my nephew graduated from the university of Louisville with his degree in civil engineering. He graduated at the KFC Yum Center just wondering how close the Brown Hotel is to the Yum Center? Just wondering if I went by lol! That hotel was such an amazingly beautiful place congratulations on 42 years!!!

@Jennybear2003 Rick here--The Brown Hotel is on 4th and Broadway, about 6 or 7 blocks from the Yum Center. You could have easily gone past it.

When his mother died he was sent back under his uncle's guardianship & sent to boarding school in Scotland. I have done extensive genealogy on my family. So thank you for sharing the history and taste of Kentucky.

Happy Anniversary!! I always enjoy it when you take us on a tour of the various trips you take and the hotels you visit....just like we are there with you. My husband and I will be married 40 years this August. We were highschool sweethearts. I met him when I was 14 and knew then that he was the boy I was going to marry and have never had any regrets!!

Hi Betty,
I am 21 years old, a senior in college. I watched my parents go through a very messy divorce when I was 18, and since then I sort of gave up on the idea of love. But, it makes me so happy to know that two people like you and your husband still love each other after 42 years. Maybe there IS hope:)
