she grew up in london. when she moved to the u.s. she got made fun of for her accent and so she adapted the american accent but she does have a british accent from growing up there for part of her childhood.

funny the way she talks kinda reminds of me when i get mad. i have perfect west coast american accent normally, but when i get mad, my australian accent and the american accent come out all at once because i move to the states when i was in my mid-teen. kinda annoying.
