    I Mac is a modified PC with a pretty external case. They use Intel's EFI (DRM'ed BIOS) and a different OS. Both use the same x86 chips, HDD, etc, etc.

    Why do you think you can illegally run OSX on a regular PC? (with a few hacks).

  • A mac is no more a modified PC than a PC is a modified mac. They have both been developing side by side for many years, and there have always been more similarities than differences. Granted, they are more similar than ever now that macs use the intel chipset. What makes the mac unique is its hardware and software were both developed for each other by one developer.
