When will this manga end?!?! D:< They are still trying to take Caska to the fruity fairyland for the past 3 or so years and its still going on!!!!!! By the pace the mangaka is going (too f'n busy playing his date-sims [damn you moe!]), I'm not expecting this stupid arc to end in another 10 years. I've spent over 15yrs for the manga to end and it seems like I'll be taking the ending to the grave :/.
@nelsonta00 same over here, although I'm not yet that long into the manga. Seeing as they release only one chapter a month I'm certain our grandchildren might probably be the first ones to witness the whole story in its glory^^
I actually think the opening is fitting the anime perfectly. It has that nostalgic, reminiscent tone that reminds of good old times, now long gone. It describes pretty well what Guts is going through, as he said himself more than once in the anime - "My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here... Why do I always realize it.. When I've already lost it..."
So is any one else a little confessed about what it talking about at the beginning of the opening, because it all ways seems like Guts is always fight against fate, but it is like Griffith life was already predestined so may be it's talking about people that holder the Behelit's I mean it does have picture of one in the opening but the story is about Guts so it should in relations to him don't you think.
@GrantDanasty0 The intro explains the entire anime/manga - it's about fate, and how man has no control over it. Guts fights against fate, but it was his fate all along to be sacrificed in the eclipse.
@haunter600 I have read up to vol 32 of the manga and at last two time it points out that Guts is not bound by fate that he is a anomaly something not foreseen, unlike Griffith who is in prophecies and in there Bible.

when i first listened to this i though it was typical anime op, but after i finished the anime i like this op now because it just fits the whole redemption/revenge thing.
Apart from the initial bit, this opening is really upbeat, it kinda makes it seem like "everything's going to be alright in the end, this is an occasionally cheerful teen drama where everyone ends up happy" style of music....how badly did they misjudge that? :D Amazing Anime, even better manga, though I've not checked in on the manga since volume 27.
