Presidential Candidate Huckabee on CNBC - FairTax

Huckabee is just another religious nut who will say or do anything to get elected. He was responsible for demanding the release of a criminal when he was Governor of Arkansas, who later sexually assaulted a young girl and murdered four cops in the NW USA. Huckabee has blood on his hands. I would NEVER vote for him.

Not sure if Huckabee will try again for President, or if he can be elected. I sure hope he continues to sell the FairTax, though. Once we get HR25 in place, tax payers will pay less in taxes because the burden will be spread onto ilegals and other criminals. The massive overhead costs (compliance) will greatly be reduced, which will also inprove our purchasing power. Once done, we'll wonder what we were thinking when we let the income tax get so bad.

Sorry, It wont work. Its lunatic math. Do you really think new homes can pay 23% tax? Or that cancer patients, nursing home care, will pay 23% extra? To make 23% work, virtually ALL sales will be taxed, including RENT. But one by one, groups will get exemptions -- renters, new home buyers, cancer patients, nursing homes, the military, etc,a parade of exemptions. So 23% changes to 40-50% to make up for it. You folks would be laughed at for 100 years.

If it's fair, why does he need to lie about how high the tax is? It's NOT a 23% tax. It's a 30% tax!

$130 total of cost plus tax.

The 30% tax works out to be approx 23% of the total price AFTER you add the tax and cost of item purchased.

EVERYONE has a religion (ones ultimate concern/ones point of transcendence, or ones world view, reference point, + value system), its just some have the correct one and others don't.
