There are viruses.

They plant them inside .mdl files and other .mp3 files that tags along and forces the clientsides to download if they want to play.

Its an exploit and hackers were smart.

I fucking love sven coop even know I dont play it anymore. Everyone thought source is out everyone is going to be moving to that an mods are gunna be better, the graphics may not be as good as souce but Sven coop kicks any mods ass, its the most well worked on team based mod iv ever seen, over 1000's of maps for it and little mini mods i give sven coop 10/10

Sven Co-Op is a very good mod. I still play it even though there's something wrong with it. And in my opinion, the only 2 mods that can top it, (And this is just my opinion) The Specialists and DC Co-Op. But Sven's still awesome.

@Orzasku I actually like the older graphics better. In fact, Sven 4.07 is pretty buggy and crappy. 4.0 and 3.0 were fine, but 4.07 is crashyfuck clusterfuck.

i wonder how this assasination game mode is gonna work =S since you cant go in with a bunch of people yelling AAAAAAAAAH with guns a blazing... i think this is gonna be something like singleplayer =S or maybe 1 assasin and multiple bodygaurds? (both players ofcourse) actually, i dont care how its gonna work out, i just hope lots of people play the original co-operation mode, so i can blast some NPC baddies with the new SAW from op4 they're putting in =D

Sven Coop is a very popular and still active mod.

Personally I prefer HL1's older graphic style and ease of compatibility. Also, the mod already has tons of content so this is just even more. It's not like we're playing an unfinished game.

yeh sven co-op for hl1 is fun and all, and they are doing good work on this new version.

but really, i personally, have gotten bored of the old graphics and all my friends stopped playing this mod and they arent progressing on the Sven co op 2, we are all waiting for it.

i dont understand what they want to prove by making the sven 1 gameplay better...its already good gameplay, all this time improving it more, they could have many sven coop 2 betas out and improving the future mod instead:(

A Source version of Sven Co-op, The hl1 version of Sven is fine, we want you to start on Source, not continuing with too little too late :(. Oh and by the way theres a mod for hl2 called synergy which is kind of like sven co-op, but it's just no the same...

It does takes an awful lot of time, but that's due to the fact that they're not just modding, they're also upgrading AI, remodelling, reskinning, re-doing everything you may think of, and on top of that, as far as I've understood, are pretty undermanned. I donated some cash to SVC-team around 2003 and still haven't complained for not recieving extras. Hell, I'd donate again if it has to be done.
