I think that the big problem in society is that people fear what they don't understand, and being transgender/intersexed is difficult for people to understand, because they don't fit into nice, neat little categories. the answer i get form lesbians that do not accept trans lesbians is they think we are just guys with a lesbian fetish and we only transitioned to being female just so we can sleep with real lesbains. I think because alot of lesbains see trans men as still being lesbains and not heterosexual men, they see gay trans women as just heterosexual men, they have it completly backwards.

You are being very cavalier about trans-gender issues. Sorry, I don't know much about this issue I have known just two trans and although I found them to be just like anyone else and I am accepting of their choices, personally I simply think that people who want another body than their own should wait until there are head transplants to facilitate the entire process. Just have your head put on someone elses body who want to trans to your sex.
And why is that? Because 'most people' in society have a hard time accepting a 'male-looking' individual to be female and vice versa? Quite a bit that involves being trans has nothing to do with the body; it can be the roles and the social locations in relationships they wish to inhabit. Too many times shot down for the mistake between my legs makes life hell. the answer i get form lesbians that do not accept trans lesbians is they think we are just guys with a lesbian fetish and we only transitioned to being female just so we can sleep with real lesbains. I think because alot of lesbains see trans men as still being lesbains and not heterosexual men, they see gay trans women as just heterosexual men, they have it completly backwards.

I am totally with you on equal "lesbianity" for fem lesbians. I don't have to act masculine to be interested in another woman. I am very feminine and I am attracted to femininity. It is the latter part of my previous sentence ( "I am attracted to femininity") that makes me lesbian, not the former part. You are being very cavalier about trans-gender issues. Sorry, I don't know much about this issue I have known just two trans and although I found them to be just like anyone else and I am accepting of their choices, personally I simply think that people who want another body than their own should wait until there are head transplants to facilitate the entire process. Just have your head put on someone elses body who want to trans to your sex.

And why is that? Because 'most people' in society have a hard time accepting a 'male-looking' individual to be female and vice versa? Quite a bit that involves being trans has nothing to do with the body; it can be the roles and the social locations in relationships they wish to inhabit. That means they feel themselves most meaningfully expressive and comfortable living as the opposing gender. Telling them to wait until some miracle of science happens is just asking them to put off their lives.

It's hard to distinguish 'facetiousness' from ignorance when reading opinion on something like trans issues. Next time I would recommend making use of exclamation marks! and/or hyperbolic statements, rather than express a whimsical desire for trans people to not be visible until technology exists for them to be who they desire to be, which in your eyes is all about the appropriation of sexed bodies.

Believe me, I was far from being hysterical. It seemed like a healthy choice to get into an argument using some asshole condescension once in awhile, especially considering you hold a popular, but falsely constructed opinion. If you think of trans people as individuals who have thought through the gender change, being aware of the risks and discrimination involved, how 'messed up' or 'perverted' people will see them, you wouldn't hold the opinion that you do.

That is rediculous how the lesbian community can give you problems. Why is it such a crime to be femme?
